49.1 to 31 soul intention

Hello, long time reader and would love to have your thoughts as this is a broad question to ask. In the middle of the Cov19 lockdown, it's a full moon and nothing going on - and nothing planned because my industry is still too shaken - I asked what is my soul intention? 49.1 Radical Change to 31 Influence - is Radical Change the time we are living in?

I will try to add some thoughts -
I agree 49 refers to radical change and we certainly are all in a time of radical change, so that may speak to that seems right. However, because the question is about your soul's intention, perhaps you are using this time to foster change within yourself on some level, that while I can't speak your soul's intention, some of the imagery describing 49 of James DeKorne's site includes: "hidden within the cocoon, the caterpillar becomes a butterfly." or "celestial sequences create changes only when they are due; he therefore acts in accordance with the requirements of the times." That second quote and all the references make me think of the state things are in right now and how we are all waiting and watching time pass waiting for answers in a way. But in direction to your question I suppose how can this period be a time of gestation and transformation, or opportunity for radical change in you and how you go through life? Might be a question or might not be relevant that is up to you. Line 1 is changing so the situation is still developing and timing is that not of action but waiting and gathering your energy. Changing to Hexagram 31 which is wooing and attraction -influence but not necessarily directly acting. This also makes me think perhaps this is a time for gestation leading to transformation - again the image of the butterfly in the cocoon seems to say it best. All the best to you!

Okay, I'll bite...

While we're all housebound and unable to work at what were often ill fitted, unsuitable jobs and no longer required to attend to meaningless social obligations, I see the virus and the lock down as initiating a long overdue major detox for us that has the unexpected benefit of causing all the old polluting influences to weaken and our individual true selves to emerge. As we no longer rush about to punch other people's time clocks, old habits that no longer serve us are exposed for the useless addictions they are and long abandoned hopes and dreams can resurface. We're getting to experience our true selves again!

But now the challenge is to not go back to the old soul destroying jobs and habits. As the pull of the old world fades and the soul realizes it is no longer bound to the old life and restrictions, we now must consider how to proceed. 49.1 describes feet carefully bound in cow hide shoes, which to me suggests the need to walk very gingerly, to tread very lightly in this new earth/world. You have been given an opportunity to experience who you are at a more basic, "soul level" and you don't want to confuse yourself by once again getting pulled off course by others emotions, needs and fears not your own.
49.1 follows 48.6, the line about being offered fresh clean water/emotion. With a taste of pure fresh emotions, the soul must be very wary (remember the lesson of 4.3!) of once again being influenced by outside influences. Indeed, 49.1 changes to 31. Influence, the mountain/lake image that warns how one must keep their inner self solid as a rock to keep the lake water pure - that is, don't just welcome in every new influence but be conscious of the emotions around you. Don't be pulled off course by others feelings confusing your own.

Looking ahead to 49.2:
Perhaps when you have mastered the ability to tread lightly in this shared world of emotions and can recognize what is you and what is not you then you will have arrived at "Your own day"!

I usually see this line as the waiting and preparing stage. Where one enhances themself while awaiting the impulse of influence for change.
