49.2.5.6 - what is the noble transformation?

Gnawing at the bit again. Things have been stabilizing, I am on medication that is working finally to pull out of the deep pit I was in while casting about for answers on here. Thank you to everyone who responded with such kindness.

Today, Valentine's day, it is tempting to feel bitter and cold rather than loving due to being without romantic companionship or close friendship.
I asked Yi where to find love today and got 54.1.6>64. So definitely NOT by dipping back into "inferior positions." I tend to read changing lines 1&6 as "this hexagram's energy is over for you."

I asked Yi
"how do I protect my heart and honor my emotions?"
and received the recurrent cast 49.2.5.6>14

Yi has given me this cast about 4 times now, for questions around medication, what to do about my situation, whether or not to announce breakup publically, etc, over the course of months.

Its a beautiful reading & worth meditating on at length. I find comfort in it, but not sure what it asks of me. Perhaps a change in how I relate to the connections that are in my life -hex 14 suggests inner worthiness, respect, nobility. Maybe courage.

A noble one's leopard transformation, a senior person's tiger transformation....I am going to read up more on hex 49.

What do you get from this cast?

I always have trouble with 49.6, find it confusing, don't know what the message is. But I've come to wonder if part of it could be that after a tiger-change is made (49.5), or if one already is a tiger, maybe there are still some small tidying-up or finishing-off / rounding-off details to attend to?

I get that mostly from it being the 6th line, at the end of the hexagram, outside of or above the main action. The big change is done (line 5), so why is Yi bringing in a different cat now, a leopard? Leopards are smaller than tigers, more adaptable (for instance I think I read they drag their prey up into trees to eat, to keep it away from animals who can't climb trees). They can't rely on size and strength quite as much as tigers can, so they need other skills. They have small spots instead of bold, vibrant stripes - which exactly fit a 49.6 reading of mine where only small amounts of refurbishing were needed on an object. (Unfortunately I didn't understand that until after the repairman stripped the entire thing and ruined it.)

I still have no idea about most of line 6's imagery and also no idea how to apply it to your question, but thought I'd mention this one thing. Maybe part of the advice could be don't stop at line 5, carry it through to the end and wrap up smaller things, too, in order to complete the whole change?

49.5 - You know, deep down, what you need to do. What is stopping you? Ignore that fear and just do it.
49.6 - Be like a leopard - beautiful, lithe and elegant. Do not rush around striving to become anything else. Just be beautiful and graceful. Let the changes that have already started come into your being naturally.

I woke this morning and in that state between dreaming and being awake (usually when 'messages' or aha moments clarify, it truly feels like that state is the most open and clear mentally, before the conscious mind wakes up to worry), had an image of a forum where 49.6 was being discussed, someone invoked a leopard goddess. I can't remember fully but believe the leopard/jaguar was said to represent the soul itself. And that it had left but was returning.

Have you had many readings involving 60? She (Seshat) sounds 60-ish to me, too, what with things like

I was just coming back to add on that she was goddess of boundaries, too.
I have had a few 60 readings. With some of the other issues I've come to these threads with, very appropriate. Received a diagnosis that makes sense with the flooding/boundary re-establishment.

Its very interesting to think about the connection of writing to boundaries and surveying. One looks over the land, draws lines, divides and allots parcels of land to different purposes. Might tease that out.
