The situations I have found myself in are unhappy ones. I believe the anger I am having comes from unmet expectations.

I had got caught up with whirling around in the chaos trying to force things. I have neglected my Buddhist studies among other things.

The already changing is where I have taken action to change these things. I applied for new jobs and will most likely have a new one soon. I signed up for a dating site.

This line speaks of important changes that must be done out of necessity and not out of petty frustration. So, you could be angry with your life as you feel frustrated at every turn, you need to calm down and see what you really need out of life not what you may think you need.

I'm not unhappy with everything but this job and bad lovelife seems to cause me the most grief on a regular basis.

Perhaps your anger here serves the function of giving you an added 'oomph' or energy injection to get rid of old outdated things that no longer serve you. Perhaps you ignored milder feelings of disatisfaction in the past in order to preserve things how they were (looking at 63.4 the fan yao ?) and this anger is your disatisafaction and need for change shouting louder so you can't ignore it.

Trojan, yes, it usually does work that way. The little things you push aside build until it is brewing and shouting so loudly you can't ignore it any longer.
