This hex 9, i really have no clue what it means.

As a general rule, I'd assume the I Ching is speaking to you. It will not answer on other's feelings. So I would interpret that this is saying you are the one who has fallen into the pit. The pit is your worry/concern over his feelings. So do not worry about his feelings over this text, just wait. Good fortune comes when you are not focused on the external, the answer will become obvious, so keep an open mind

Yi will certainly answer about other peoples intentions. I have experienced it many times. When it doesn't answer directly, one can deduce another's intentions by the advice given to you about the subject matter.
(example: what is best for me to do about this person? answer 33 unchanging. deduction: the person has inferior motives, or is incongruent with your best interests)

The pit is an actual house or place.
Line 6 is at the end of Waiting.
The thing waited for is about to show up, and does so by the acts depicted in line 6. He is the one waiting. You showed up. Don't assume it is romance related.
(did you meet him with two other people?)

I do advocate asking questions where you are the subject, because then you won't get confused. (which is really easy to do when asking about another)

I really appreciate the different opinions you both have. I am still new and really love to hear any comments.

X is my ex girlfriend. We broke up one year ago. We are not talking anymore.
X is holding on to a shopping card under my name. Only by using the physical card can one claim a voucher.
I got my friend to send X a text to claim a voucher(done anonymously).

No, i did not see X for over a year.

And that is why i cast a reading for this matter.
