55.3.4 - Building personal wealth

Hi guys,
I asked ‘How should I approach building personal wealth?’ I received 55.3.4 > 24

I looked up the lines on the James Dekorne website, these are the parts that stood out:

Line 3:
Wilhelm/Baynes: One can carry out no great transactions. In the end, one must not try to do anything. Blofeld: There is nothing great we can accomplish now. His breaking his right forearm indicates uselessness up to the very end.

Also:
Editor: Midday is noon -- normally the zenith of illumination, and hence symbolic of awareness or truth. Here however, a condition equivalent to a full solar eclipse is portrayed. (The exact opposite of the position of the king in the Judgment.) The "small Mei star" is a distant sun, a lesser light: symbolically, a feeble comprehension. Darkness is ignorance, and the right arm represents one's power or ability to act.

This is interesting as we are a few days away from an eclipse in Aries/Libra on the 19th April, which lands in significant houses in my chart. I also feel that this line is reflecting back to me my own confusion as to which path to commit to in terms of work or a business. The right arm representing the ‘power & ability to act’, and it being broken in this line, I think reflects maybe not having the required energy needed to achieve the ideas I have right now? I’ve been doing odd jobs and working for family, but would like to build something of my own, I never seem to get past the business plan stage, and have low energy due to general health issues, I’m currently focused on health & it’s improving (maybe the broken arm is the health). I asked a similar question 3 months ago, and I recall someone suggesting I do anything, just take action, but it’s been like a fog of confusion as to which direction to move in & the fear of not wanting to make a huge mistake.

Line 4:
Wilhelm/Baynes: The curtain is of such fullness that the polestars can be seen at noon. He meets his ruler, who is of like kind. Good fortune.
Siu: The eclipse is decreasing. The man gets together with elements with which he has a natural affinity.

Some have translated it as meets his ‘dark Lord’, some as ‘someone of equal rank’. This could mean confusion clearing and meeting clarity itself, or it could mean meeting a person who helps in some way? I think this could be advising me to reach out to someone who is better at logical thinking, sees it from an outside point of view and can advise me well? I have no idea who to reach out to, and I’m interested to see if the coming eclipse will play a part in this issue, I receive hexagram 55 quite often, and last received it in response to a questions about a difficult relationship/first love.

I haven’t the foggiest what the relating hexagram 24 ‘Return’ means in relation my query.

If you guys have any thoughts on my reading I would love to hear them, I’ve been reading a lot and practicing to acquaint myself better with the Iching but I’m a beginner for sure.

first of all, I would think about reading the text of 55 as a whole, and try to find out how it resonates to your situation. I can't quote it by heart now, but I remember it saying: Do not mourn.

You got two changing lines just at the core of this hexagram.
Then, in 55.3, there is the "broken arm." There is an impediment, and 55.4: Confusion, which won't last.
The related hexgram mirrors your wish for recovery, returning light.
Maybe it will be best advice to repair your "broken arm" - whatever this might be, and then to gain clarity about your deepest motivation.

For me 55. Abundance has indicated I’ve reached some sort of peak and not to try for more at this time. So as an answer to your question about building personal wealth I think you are being advised your attitude should be you’ve got plenty to deal with now with just your daily survival issues (Underbrush of such abundance!) and you mustn’t blame yourself for not being able to do more (55.3).
55.4 is very promising for circumstances eventually changing.
24. Return also reads like you don’t need to battle the rat race right now.

I imagine you have asked this question out of concern for your eventual old age rather than for some immediate goal. If that’s the case I think 55.4 is saying don’t worry, you’ll come up with something before then but for now taking care of your health is your best way of building wealth.

Hi Mandarine_23, my thoughts were along similar lines, I have read up on the hexagram itself as it’s come up a few times, it strikes me as being generally positive in nature. I’m currently reading the story behind it and getting to know that. Thank you for your thoughts, sometimes when you’re using the Iching it can feel like you’re boxed in with your own thoughts/interpretation, so it’s a great comfort to hear from others.

Yes that’s right, I turned 30 last month, with my twenties behind me I’ve been thinking about where I stand with things and what my future might look like. I’m hoping by improving my health and revitalising my overall energy, I’ll have more energy to take action in the way I’d like to, so I think you’re right the Iching is most likely giving a nod to that or letting me know that’s okay. The Yi Lord part of line 4 is really intriguing and can be interpreted in so many different ways, I will be sure to update here if anything significant unfolds around the eclipse or if anything specific occurs in regards to this detail of the line. Hey Rosada, I don’t know if you’ll still get notified when I post here. But I asked the Iching today - Will my hair grow thicker if I cut it? I was considering cutting a considerable amount on the next full moon. Huge amounts of it has fallen out due to a persistent hormonal imbalance that I’m now treating with homeopathy/ lifestyle changes/ reducing weight. I used to have a head full of thick hair that gave me confidence, because I never felt beautiful but it was the one thing I liked about my appearance. I received 55.2.3.5 in response to whether cutting it would help it grow back thicker and fuller.

I remembered that I had received 55.3.4 in response to this question about building personal wealth also, I think the line 3 is referring to my overall health and hormones, the ‘broken arm’ again. That inside out is the best way to go about getting my hair back. But I’m really not sure what the other lines, especially 5 have to do with hair. It’s a question based purely on vanity, and not particularly ‘important’, but if you have any thoughts on it I would love to hear from you. Hope you’re well

The website World of Feng Shui.com or WOFS.com posts a monthly calendar with the days marked to indicate the best days to cut one’s hair for money, health, romance etc. and the days that would be bad. You can find it by going to the site and it’s on the left hand side in the second square down. I’ve followed the advice and I think it’s right on.
