Dear community,

After 25 years with one company I am very eager, if not to say desperate to change jobs. I applied for a position abroad at a different company which interests me greatly. To my great joy I was invited for an interview which will take place on Thursday. The second round will be on Friday if I pass the first round.

I started to prepare myself for the interview last weekend, and I have a coaching session this evening. This notwithstanding, I am very anxious at present (fear of failure). I asked the i ching the following question: "What will be the most likely outcome of my job interview at xyz" and received 59.5.6 > 7.

Maybe "Crossing the great river" could be interpreted as "moving abroad", likewise line 6 (?), which would be very positive. 7 "The Army" I regard as an overall good omen. However, I am puzzled to a certain extent and kindly ask for your input.

Thank you so much in advance.

Hi fengyun
"What will be the most likely outcome of my job interview at xyz" and received 59.5.6 > 7.
The most likely outcome of your job interview will be that you are able to be left in a position where all the confusions that you held around the situation (7) will be re-positioned in such ways that you will be under no illusions about where you stand (59).

59.5 - Put the effort in to nourish what you fear is lacking
59.6 - then you know you could have done no more

.... of course, there may be other interpretations that carry more meaning for you.

Good Luck

Thank you, my-key, for your useful response! The suspense about the final outcome (acceptance, rejection) remains. I will keep you posted.

59.6 - you’ll get the job, which requires you to move away from an unhealthy environment,

59.5 - which leaves you yelling for joy, or…

59.6 - you internally shift and move away from all anxiety (fear) and accept that whenever you are, you’re either meant to be or that you have the power to leave at any moment, if you decide that where you are is bad for the blood. That is, you have the power. And…

59.5 - you release the inner pressure and feel gratitude for all your granaries (stores of experiences and lessons learned from current job).

I think it depends on what’s the real threat/danger? You’re state of mind or your staying at a job you want to leave?

Good luck on the dispersing!

I’m sorry your plans didn’t fall into place for that job. Something else will come along. Re-orient yourself and attitude in terms of where you are now, so you feel more peace. Easier said than done. I’ve had to do it multiple times in my career, when I’ve gone through very hard spots. Things change. And if they can’t at the moment, change your mind and the way you relate to it. Kind of like being in a bad marriage. You know you want out, but can’t right at that moment. So what can you do to be at peace with it, until times are more favorable for a change or exit? ❤️

Thank you for your kind words, thisismybody.
After the initial disappointment I applied for 5 other positions with different international organizations and am currently waiting for responses…

Sorry to hear that you are upset you didn’t get the job. I think you can be reassured that there’s no error in this. Something better is coming for you.. both line five and six say no error.. try and keep the faith, somehow this is a golden link in the chain of your good - even though you can’t see how yet 😊

Good luck! What’s meant for you will come along. I’m not sure your beliefs, but asking for divine help always brings me some relief. Whether it’s just help with the current situation.
