I live in a European country where I have always encountered a tremendous hardship, injustice and police misconduct. A sexual predator in my building was permitted to harass and torment me for many years with impunity, partially relying on the police to accomplish his fiendish goals.

He committed many, many offenses against me. (I was extremely, extremely sick and unable to work or protect myself.) From 2011 until 2019, he was permitted to call the police on me everyday. In 2016, he broke into my apartment at 1:30 AM to rape me (unsuccessful). Whatever he does, the police refuse to lift a finger to help or defend me. I assume that they hate Americans. In 2019, he called the fire department and reported he was “my dear friend” and he needed help preventing me from killing myself. I was brutally arrested and imprisoned in an insane asylum. Fortunately, I am American and as soon as I was able to, I called to notify the state department of my predicament, whereupon they contacted the unscrupulous hospital and angrily informed them that they have no jurisdiction over an American and that they had to release me immediately. However they had already incompetently administered powerful and dangerous drugs that destroyed my kidneys, and many other systems in my body and rendered me crippled and sick for another three years.
The sexual predator then campaigned to have me evicted, deported, sent to jail and to have my little chihuahuas put to death. He was insuccèssful in having me deported.

But I have been successfully evicted due to his relentless evil. Even so, the sicko man is still pursuing me even now that I live elsewhere. When I went to retrieve my passport from my basement storage room yesterday, he called the police and told them an unknown person having a dangerous and threatening appearance had broken into the building. The police responded as usual, with massive force. 16 savage officers. They crowded around me, treated me brutally, insulted me, kicked, broke, smashed and spit on my property that I had carefully stacked up just outside my storage room while I searched for my passport. In a country in which civility is compulsory, they cursed, screamed, insulted, and utterly broke me with down vulgarity, hatred and abuse.

I asked the I Ching:

These readings do not make ANY sense to me. Is there anyone on the site who has any insight into a possible meaning?

You recount a part of your life that makes for difficult reading. I can only imaging the sort of hell all these events over such a long time must have been for you. The echoes of such traumas need loving and compassionate attention and I hope you have now, or will have reached sometime in the future a place where the memories are not so impactful in your life.

Here are some thoughts I have on your readings:

8 unchanging represents a time of Union. It is directed by the nuclear power found in 23 'Falling Away' and it is more than likely that this is the reason why Yi indicates that there is 'no mistake' and even good fortune when a cast of 8 is received. Undoubtedly, from your words in the question, you view these experiences with the police as enormously testing for you and anything other than good fortune.

To enable a small sense of good fortune gaining a toe hold in your situation Yi, advocates that seeking help from others or grouping with different people while at the same time looking for ways to gather yourself and connect to a new inner landscape will be good steps to take. Seeking out new ways of coordination on how to counter the sense of shock and the crippling impact that has occurred will act as a kind of firebreak against the ongoing fear of being neverendingly burnt by life.

It is perhaps this lack of an effective fire break that is behind the continuous burning you experience and through you taking responsibility for implementing what is for you an effective firebreak, however difficult that may seem, will make the type of life you are hoping for come a step closer to you. The deep subtle acts engendered through 'Falling Away' takes time to manifest and motion in a direction that aids a new Union rather than being caught up or resting in the flames of old can only be beneficial in breaking the historical pattern of your experiences with the police.

The horrible experiences that you are having with the police means that you are being enmeshed in a process of 59 Dispersing. This hexagram carries a sense of things melting away. First cracking, and then the fine cracks growing and allowing what is trapped deep inside to come gushing out and to scatter and finely disperse. It can be easily applied to thinking about something that is rigid and fixed being demolished and becoming something brighter and finer.

This, Yi advocates, is best achieved by, in the words of the Image, 'offering sacrifice to the Lord of Heaven and establishing temples'. (Huang). In this way the the underlying energy of the nuclear hexagram 27 'Nourishment' will find a way to shine through to you and for you and will lead to a breaking up of the heavy rocks that are accompanying you and hindering you.

Working through these two readings, for me, they do seem to be offering you ways to grow, to build resilience and to regain a level of control over your life which has been robbed from you and riddled with abusive conduct of the police and others. I hope that these interpretations, or anything else that others may provide in this forum, give you some insights that help you answer the questions that are troubling you most at this time.

I think that 8uc here may mean setting up very necessary boundaries against a harmful other. Check out the unchanging thread and especially Arabella's first post there, it's eerily similar to do with police impropriety.

My gut reaction would be to say "get the hell out of there", as in out of the country, or at least to a part that is less volatile than what you're experiencing. I'm not sure what your needs are at the moment in terms of needing to stay in a foreign country 8uc does seem to come up when placing hard boundaries to get away from something is necessary.

But it also means searching out a suitable alternative where you do feel welcome, like my_key mentioned. Find a support group if you can't leave, or perhaps search for a different town or city where you may be more protected from such individuals.

I’m attentively reading these interpretations, desperately trying to understand. Btw, the country I live is universally seen as paradisiacal. It is not thought of as a place that is full of evil hatred and abuse. Life is quite good for most people. However, I think most people are beginning to realize that rape is essentially legal there, that the police are childish, psychotic and dangerous and that the country is insanely protectionist and anti-American.

Keep being attentive and, where you feel able to, let go of the desperation. Increasing attentiveness and decreasing desperation will begin to move you in the right direction - a direction pointing more towards understanding.

My understandings may not be yours and I do not want to cloud your waters. Remember, individual insights or understanding come through many diverse sources, some good some bad.

Interesting how they did literally trash all your physical belongings.

You might ask the I Ching how you can counteract this negativity. I get results from burning sage for dissolving old energy paths and wearing stones like rose quartz crystal to enhance awareness of love’s protection. If these sort of things aren’t readily available you can always go straight to the source and pray. The world is in such turmoil these days that I’ve found prayer’s effectiveness seems to be more readily recognized. Maybe there are more angels hovering around earth now or maybe mankind is desperate enough to try it more often but I do think I am seeing the manifestations and synchronicities happening more quickly lately. Just repeat the Lord’s Prayer a couple of times a day and when ever you feel stressed and note the energy shift.

Now that I have a moment, I wanted to confirm that your interpretation is correct. I have been expelled from that city. I have been pushed to another city altogether, and although I have pressing concerns in the other city, of former residence - I have been unable to return there. There’s always something that stops me. I believe that, at the energetic level, a force field has been erected that I have been unable to cross. I believe it’s demonic energy. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the notion of Territorial Spirits as introduced in Daniel 10? We must be aware of those Cosmic Spirits who act for the betterment or the disservice of humanity as well as for all life here on earth.

Thank you for your reply. I have repeatedly read that thread (Arabella’s), I guess as a consequence of looking it up after repeatedly getting Hexagrams 8 in toxic situations! Yes, we have to be careful when INCEL creeps try to bind with us by hook or by crook. They’ll do anything to get into your head/heart/bed! This occurs all over the world, but it’s extremely prevalent here in this lowlife, rape-nation environment. There is a 0.02 rate that any rapist will ever pass before a judge in this country. The precious few convictions are accompanied by shockingly lenient sentences - like 6 months or suspended sentences, with no supervision. Need I say more? But when the police are childish, foolish, dangerous, racist and misogynistic at the same time - look out. Time to flee the country, I guess… Pray for me, whoever reads this - that I will be safe.
