Camera battery charger is nowhere to be found, and I turned the place upside down looking for it. I seriously doubt I have ever used it away from home.

Does it mean I should keep searching for it in my home? I've already searched everywhere I can think of. The reading looks positive, but it's not giving me any clues on where to look. It's like, keep on looking where you've already been looking.?

The Judgement
After Completion. Success in small matters.
Perseverance furthers.
At the beginning good fortune,
At the end disorder.

The Image
Water over fire: the image of the condition
In After Completion.
Thus the superior man
Takes thought of misfortune
And arms himself against it in advance.

Hi Owlietta,

How about near the water heater?
in the utility room with the washer and dryer?
in a drawer or plugged-in near a sink?
wrapped in a red and blue case?
near the same place that you keep the batteries for it?
by the stereo?
in a drawer at your computer workstation?
under your nightstand or bed?
hanging north and south from a coat hook?
...

Good luck!

Do you remember the last time you used it, and exactly where that was?

Maybe at times hexagram 63 can be seen as "the act of completing" rather than "it is completed". I think I remember people here, probably Hilary, saying 63 can refer to losing momentum, or the need to keep momentum going. "At the beginning good fortune, At the end disorder" - perhaps thinking you're all finished, and stopping, but you're not actually done.

In relation to losing something (and from personal experience), this brings to mind maybe using something and then leaving it where you used it, rather than taking the final step of putting it back where it belongs.

Again paraphrasing things I've read - 63 and 64 are also each other's nuclear hexagrams, so inside "endings" you have "beginnings". Starting and stopping, starting and stopping - maybe something happened at the end of the last battery-charging session that distracted you? You started to put it away, but then had to stop?

If you picked it up and started to put it away, but then put it down again for some reason before getting there - it might seem like it could be in any kind of odd spot in the house. But I'm guessing (hoping) that Yi gave you 63 because it's a useful clue.

"Thus the superior man
Takes thought of misfortune
And arms himself against it in advance. "

In the context of losing something, that brings to mind thoughts like, "I'll just put it here, in this spot where it will be safe / where I can't possibly forget it or fail to see it" - and then that's exactly what happens.
