64 to 37 - wait for a better property deal?

I have a pretty good offer for my property but I'm told I can get much more so I asked the Yi what the result will be if I wait for a better offer. I got hex 64 lines 1.3.4.5 changing to 37. By the way, my ex hubby is trying to arrange the higher price for me. Has that something to do with the 37?

I did ask the Yi what if I go with the current offer and got hex 17 unchanging. I understand its' about going with the flow. I suppose the flow is to wait for something better. Any thoughts?

The hex 64 seems very promising. I think it's important what one does with the money.

which sound like , consider well this offer . on the other hand reading the judgement of 37

"The perseverance of the woman furthers."

coupled with 17 "Perseverance furthers." i would say wait

Many thanks Thomas! Yes, I was wondering whether so many moving lines would lead to reading hex. 37. But someone had mentioned that you read the first line that does not move in the resulting hexagram which would be line 2?

I think 17 is simply stating that by going with the flow, you are assured of an easy and successful outcome. I'm sure you already have, but consider the time difference between waiting for a better offer and just going with the offer you are faced with now. Following just seems to suggest an easy flow of events. For some people, the ease of going with the flow is all the difference, they just want things to proceed with ease. But if you have a fixed, higher price in mind, then that is not Following and you are looking at 64.

Nevertheless, I see 64 as working out to your advantage if you have more time to work with, and a good dose of discipline. Because in 64 none of the lines are in the right place, it suggests being very careful. As in, make sure to keep the house in great shape, stay on top of things so you're never caught off guard while waiting for the right buyer (as simple as never letting the house become messy). The message of 64 is just that - the need for constant vigilance. Which, for some people, is not as easy as 17 Following. Also, unless there was a mistake, 64 with only 1.3.4.5 changing becomes 9, Small Accumulation. This hexagram is not one of big gains. Line 2 would have to change also to get 37 Family... so here not sure what to tell you.

With 64 the way the lines progressively get better, I do believe your response from the I Ching was telling you that by waiting you will get a fair price. Perhaps this first offer was undervaluing your home. Then by waiting you would get a more fair price.

Whoops - that's true - it's not 37 but 9. Yet line 2 on 9 mentions good fortune if one returns to course. I suppose it's best to go with 64. Thanks so much for this. Keeping this big house tidy is quite a challenge with three dogs and no maid these days, but I'll keep it in mind.
