Hi everyone i asked a quick question about a person what does the future hold for us and i got 8 with changing lines 3-6 turning to 53.

Any insights?

Unfortunately - and I'm sorry - but I doubt this is good news.

After reading the lines, what I immediately wondered is how well do you know this person, and what (if any) relationship you have right now.

Of course, you certainly don't have to explain more than you want to. But these lines make this relationship seem almost wildly out of your reality:

‘Seeking union with non-people.’

8.6
‘Seeking union without a head.
Misfortune.’

8.3 could mean something like you and this person have absolutely nothing in common, travel in different spheres, currently have no relationship whatsoever, something like that.

8.6 - Wilhelm-Baynes says "The head is the beginning." This won't go right from the very start, or won't even get started, or shouldn't/can't get started, something along those lines.

Hex 53 made me wonder for a minute - "Gradual Progress" as a way to relate to such a situation? But - hex 53 is the story of a bunch of wild geese milling around, at least partially in places that aren't terribly suitable for them. Maybe that's the sense of hex 53 that's most accurate here.

I'm glad this isn't a catastrophe for you. Whew!

I have a terrible time remembering that a reading can sound dire even when the situation itself is actually quite benign. The I Ching can't help its finite vocabulary. (But I rarely fail to panic, regardless .)
