8.6 and work status squabbles

I'm in a job where there is a lot of maneuvering for attention. I work best in an office culture where the work is collaborative, but it honestly feels at time that my desire to share credit works is treated as a weakness by others who are more than happy to claim the limelight, and exclude my contributions. Honestly I'm annoyed that I think about this at all, as it detracts from my sense of purpose about the very meaningful work that I do. But perhaps divine providence has put me here to help develop healthy boundaries? Or in contrast, to keep my eyes on the prize and trust that the right will be revealed in the end?

I asked for "guidance around struggles for status in the workplace" and got Hex 8 with line 6 changing to Hex 20.

Okay, so this means that I should continue to share credit no matter what and not worry about about the questionable integrity of others? I'd really like it to be this...

Line 8.6 says what you are doing, sharing, is certainly not wrong but obviously this was not a practice that was being done before you came along. So, now that you have set it in motion, others are not happy, as your environment appears to be a selfish, dog eat dog one, where the only interest is to look out for number one.
So, this and Hex 20 advise you to step back, stop and have a good look at the politics and attitudes of the others, and see and understand why it is not working out but from what I can see the answer is easy.

It seems to suggest that you are seeking union (Hex 8) to no purpose, that the situation you are in does not have use for this behavior and it does not lead to union.

As for the relationship to Hex 20, it suggests that you step back and view this organizations behavior and think about what you want and the way the organization works. The Wikiwing says:

Thanks Willowfox and Tigerintheboat. Of course I am seeking union! Yes! And, while there is nothing wrong with what I am doing, it does feel like I'm speaking Martian to the people at work. So its my choice whether i choose to be Quixotic and persevere, or seek more sympatico pastures. I just have to stay objective and appreciate that it's not personal.That will help prevent me from becoming needlessly bitter.

Pertehaps the reward of keeping to my own center is that I may in time attract others to my orientation? But the response of others cannot be my source of validation...Ugh, who doesn't struggle with that one?
