I watched a UFC mixed martial arts fight last night. It was UFC 282, and the main fight was Błachowicz vs. Ankalaev.

I asked how Ankalaev would do and got

49.3.5 Revolution > 51 Shock (tr. Wilhelm-Baynes)
.3: Starting brings misfortune. Perseverance brings danger. When talk of revolution has gone the rounds three times, one may commit himself, and men will believe him.
.5: The great man changes like a tiger. Even before he questions the oracle he is believed.

Now how did this play out? In the first three rounds, Ankalaev was somewhat neck and neck with B, perhaps slightly behind him in the first two rounds, and maybe the third. Ankalaev was for some reason unwilling to come close and grapple with B, as opposed to fighting from afar.

Starting from round 4, however, that sharply changed. Ankalaev came close, and started dominating the fight. That was clear in round 5.

Despite the enormous domination of A in rounds 4 and 5, to the point where everyone thought he had clearly won — it went to a judges’ decision and they awarded a tie.

This was highly surprising, even to B, who said that A deserved to have won.

So look at this: 3 rounds of performing under his abilities for A, just like .3 suggests. Starting indeed brought misfortune, and perseverance in that wrong path of striking from a distance would have brought danger.
But after “talk of revolution has gone the rounds three times” — something changes! And indeed A then changed like a tiger per .5.

It seemed overall that A should have won, but there was a shock (51) in the tie decision.

A rather beautiful reading I think.

Would you want to summarize this and put it in WikiWing?

There's not a specific 49.3.5 section, but what might work decently is either:
- Write it all up just once, under one of the lines, and under the other line merely say "See UFC example under line x.x"
- Write something under each line separately, prefaced with something like "UFC reading," and include notes like "See more under <other line section>."

Whichever one seems easier might depend on the particular reading.

(You probably know this, but WikiWing is a paid subscription tier, included in Change Circle but people can join it separately.)

Good idea. I took the first approach and put it in.
