I have been thinking about one reading for some time and finaly decided to consult with someone.

Recently, a new relationship suddenly appeared in my life. We know each other as members of a self-help group. One day we started to chat (on his initiative), and I was sure that it was only friendly. But suddenly both of us had such a strong feeling, which perhaps we hadn't even experienced, although we are not young. It's not just chemistry. It is incredibly easy for us to communicate, our views and needs are similar, etc.

Until now, I have not been able to stay in a relationship for long. His life situation is also not easy.

At first I was upset - I interpreted it as a separation and a return to previous lives. Today I came back to these hexagrams and I see it differently - that maybe this relationship is a turning point that leads to peace from all kinds of past difficulties.

As I see it, your first interpretation was more or less correct.
The Image text of H24 is about keeping still, staying inside. H52 has more or less the same message.

H24
Thus the ancient kings closed the borders
At the time of the solstice.
Merchants and travelers did not move about,
And princes did not go forth to inspect the provinces.

H52
Thus the superior person
Does not allow his thoughts
To go beyond his situation.

H24 is associated with the winter solstice, the time when the yang force returns, but at that time nothing is visible in the outside world yet. You don't yet know what is going on behind the scenes.
The moving lines in the answer indicate that apparently nothing is what it seems as they advise to turn back (1 and 3), the text of the 6th line gives an image of what happens when you don't follow this advice.

Trigram Thunder is the beginning of a cycle and Mountain of the end, Mountain is also about setting boundaries, putting things an end.
Noteworthy here is that the moving lines combined form the trigram Thunder which turns into Mountain.
Thunder with 3 Moving Lines is about changing too fast, rashness, changes that are not improvements, not considering the consequences of one's actions. Trigram Mountain advises setting limits on this, keeping quiet, putting an end to this.

All in all, the advice here seems to be not to continue this contact but to put a stop to it, or at least to be very cautious.

This would be my interpretation. As always, take what resonates and leave the rest.

'Turning Back' through 'Keeping Still'

The strong feeling that you are both experiencing should be viewed in a context where each of you are advised to be considering what it is that that is causing it. This is something that needs to be carefully contemplated and then adjusted or corrected (52). Perhaps, when considering this situation from a wider life perspective, this time is a time for reversing and allowing time for a clear settling of outstanding matters or events. Think more about how best it is for you to discover the simplest and saftest way for each to reset your world. Yi advocates that this can be best achieved when boundaries are firmly closed: when there is no attempt made at trading or bargaining with others and when you do not venture beyond your inner provinces (24).

24.1 - Stand firmly on the ground and be open to new, tangible clues that enable you to respond rather than react to what might really be going on here. In this way you will avoid sorrows or regrets.

24.3 - Explore patterns in your life around ways that you evaluate and experience emotional connection. There may be a woundedness, in either of you, that is leading you to repeat ways that have not been helpful for you in the past.

24.6 - Uncover the wisdom that resides in this situation for you and act on it. Ignoring or confusing this wisdom will bring long term problems into you life. Sometimes the way your brain thinks that any situation appears, is not the way the situation really is.

... or there may be other interpretations that carry a meaning that sits with you better.

I guess I expected more hope but it's my own fault that I asked such a comprehensive question - maybe it would be easier to get disappointed little by little Sad. But it's a good, bright sadness. Sorry I couldn't give you a more positive interpretation.
When I looked at your answer again, the following struck me.
H24<>H52 paints a picture for me of things being hidden. As indicated in my previous post, nothing is visible in H24 yet and H52 is about keeping still.
H52 is trigram Berg doubled.
Trigram Mountain is associated with a mask. You cannot see on the outside what is inside. Mountain is also about the hidden. So in H52, there is no substantial contact, it is superficial, or it is pretended.
The fact that you are given the advice in H24.1.3.6 to turn around, and also a picture of what happens when you don't (line 6), suggests that this person's intentions might not be what they seem.
