There is a misunderstanding between me and someone I was dating.

I was wondering if NS was thinking of contacting me again.

I received hexagram 38 line 1 and line 6 changing to hexagram 40

Line 6 says about meeting in the rain and I don't know if this is a coincidence but we actual did meet on a night when it was raining bad! Another crazy coincidence is that this man lives in an area of town that is southwest I don't know if it has anything to do with anything but I cannot go to him.

Anyways my problem is the relating hexagram. Does hexagram 40 reveal a future event or does it show my present situation..I don't know how to read both hexagrams together and make a story.

what does this reading mean?

Hello Cornucopia... I think hexagram 40 talks about a path, so could mean your paths cross. It talks about those who have something to turn back to turning. Those who have something to move on to should hurry on. It is also about forgiveness. Certainly implies to me that your opposition will pass. Perhaps it means he will turn back to settle things with you. It's certainly hard to move on with unfinished business behind you. When I get the 1rst and 6th line together I tend to see that as that situation will pass quickly, or one I should try to get through quickly... Line 1 shows a return and line 6 shows a person being mistaken for the opposition. I couldn't see this any other way than saying the conflict will pass. Then 40 speaks of forgiveness. Weather or not he will contact you is hard to say. It implies he will in line 1.

actually-wise, I believe that for people that cast often, this definitely holds true. I have been observing the patterns in my castings and it seems to bear out this statement.

Cornucopia, this advice seems all positive. You have had a difference of opinion with your friend. It may just be that one of you is from Jupiter and the other from Mars. Whatever it was, isn't about you or the other person. It's about an opinion. Line 1 says don't worry about it. You two naturally belong together. Give it some time. Line 6 says you have lost perspective and think your friend is your enemy. You will, in time see that this is a mistake and the tension will be relieved. Hex 40 shows that it is time to clear the air and return your relationship to normal as soon as possible. It's all good. Just work the process through.
