I am considering beginning a podcast. I feel a bit overwhelmed by all of the technical aspects I need to learn. My passion is communicating deeper truths from my own unique perspective, which all of us have, yet not all can go to those depths or shared perspective, which is how it is supposed to be here! I would love to eventually earn a living sharing my voice, yet I am at peace if I am meant to stay in the supportive role I have played for others in earning my living. I desire freedom and autonomy, yet I find myself comfortable in my current career. Am I meant to stay and serve or am I meant to do my own thing? Is a podcast encouraged? It seems I am getting the message that is isn’t safe to shine my light?

Nothing like starting the project and seeing the results...this part only depends on you...and nothing "whiter" than the real results to show if the project is valid or not.

I think 22.6 - 36 is a warning that while your motivation may be pure and good you may find you get responses that cause you to wish you hadn’t been quite so out there in voicing your opinion. So rather than saying you are or are not meant to do this, I see this answer as cautioning you to be sure your stay on solid ground with your talks and not blurt out any fanciful ideas you might later regret.

And of course this could be a reference to the technical problems you are facing that are making you wonder if this project isn’t some high flying ambition that will never see the light of day.

The IC continually cautions when creating something new it is best to do things slowly and carefully like a gentle mare moving forward one step at a time. Thus you may find that if you stay small and put your attention on this idea without over committing - as in spending too much money on unnecessary equipment to get your podcast launched or blabbing all the family secrets when you do - you will recognize each new step you should take and what it is you are truly “meant” to do.

22 and 36 are always an awkward combination. 22 is completely about shining your light, communicating your truth, making it intelligible and accessible to others: exactly what you are drawn to do. But 36 is very much afraid that being visible = being hurt, or else being compromised, and the only way to stay in integrity is to stay hidden.

22.6 has to find a way between these two - and it does so by finding the simplest, plainest expression, the undyed cloth. Nothing complicated or elaborate here. In fact... would you be the main speaker on your podcast, or might you be an interviewer, providing the canvas for others to paint on?

As for technology, that doesn't have to be complicated either. There are services that cover all that for you, and all you have to do is record. (I don't know enough to recommend any, I'm afraid, as my podcast's fairly DIY-ish, but it's definitely worth looking around.)
