An ad for parking and a flirt?

For once, this is a light and fluffy post that is, as I write, of little consequence.

I was looking for a parking space and responded to an ad online for one. Turned out it was a bit above my budget and the chap rented it before I made up my mind. Fair enough. Good point for the chap, he wrote to tell me he'd rented it (most folks don't even bother to respond to enquiries, let alone to inform it is no longer an option).

Since, though, he's emailed a short note daily, the last one clearly expressing interest, curious to know more and possibly take it out of the virtual space.

I chuckled, this is a first for me, and frankly the thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I'm not in "dating"mode, have been "out of the market" for decades, and recovering from a long and nasty divorce. The mere idea of online dating website (which this was not) gives me hives and is somewhat frightening to me. I've been peaceful and in hibernation mode, a bit of a lone wolf by character in any event.

So, off the cuff and admittedly without great concentration, I asked the Yi
"what's with this email back and forth?" 53.3 to 20. Well, that doesn't sound lovely... LiSe: "The wild geese gradually approach the highlands. The husband goes out and does not return. The woman gets pregnant but does not raise the child. Pitfall. Harvest: defense against robbers."
So as I followup with a bit more attention and I asked "what should I know about this chap?" and Yi answered 20.1 to 42. Again, LiSe Youthful contemplation. For small people no fault. For a noble man distress.

Sounds to me like Yi is as apprehensive as I tend to be about online "flirting", or am I getting the wrong sense of these readings?

I'd be wary of anyone who tried to pick a stranger they knew nothing about.

I tend to be the rather private / on my guard sort, thus my inability to ever imagine using an online dating site! But everyone is a stranger at first, before dialog begins....

Was your response personal opinion or your read of the Yi's replies? Both would fit :)

I think 20.1 reflects your light and fluffy take on this flirt of little consequence.
Abiding in dignity doesn't mean you've lost your levity.

'Worthwhile to guard against predators."
Was my opinion at first, now both.

So about the dating sites,
They are commonplace now, 21st century stuff.
There are predators there to, but you have a bit more info to work with than with a guy shooting his tethered arrow out randomly from a cave via sales adverts.
