Hello. I am a bit confused here. I am looking for a new apartment to live. Sp far i have visited one that i liked (it was funny, i was going through ads and liked one and then i saw ig is in the building adjacent to the one where i go for work (i am a freelancer working partly from home and partly there). I like it and think it might be what i am looking for but i hesitate - i havent seen any others. The only real concerns are the fact that it is said to be a but hot in the summer but i will install aircondition anyway. I asked yi about this apartment and i am not sure what it says. The tone of the hex is positive but how does it answer my quiestion (ir is this the place to love or shall i seek more) i have no idea, could some mor experienced users help me please?

It's hard to know which question Yi answered, or if it gave you an overview. If you have two questions it's much better to ask them separately.

15 is realism and balance. What something really is, not what you imagine it to be. Does that help at all? For instance why are people telling you it's hot in the summer? Do you know if air conditioners are allowed? (That might have nothing to do with it; I'm just speculating.)

Maybe you could follow up with another reading. Hilary often suggests something like, "What would it be like to live here?" Once you understand that, it might be more clear what you need to ask next (if anything).

(It can be good to start by asking for an overview: "Guidance for apartment-hunting?," "How should I approach this?," "How will I recognize the right apartment?" or something. But 15 might already be that reading.)

I read 15 as telling you “What you see is what you get.” If it appears to meet your requirements then I think it’s a very positive reading. If I were pressed to find something negative here, I could say perhaps 15 means it’s sort of ordinary but when looking for a simple reasonably priced apartment “ordinary” can be a very good thing!

Thank you! I asked what would it be like to live here and hot 38.2.4.6. Which confuses me a bit but seems to maybe talk abou my own inner state of confusion. Thanks!

Thank you! "Ordinary" is quite fitting - i now live in an old building with some historical elements (in my city it ks quite common) and the house with the new apartment is a "normal" 20 years old building (i like the new one a lot though:) i will think about this more:) i am glad there seems to be a positive note

I tried to ask "what would it be like if i tried to look for other places ro live instead" so i get somw other perspective (i dodnt want to asi a ton of questions so this will be it for today and i will spend some time thinking more) and got -7 unchanging. The translation talks about going inside for renewal and rest so maybe there is a place which would bring me a more restful stay but i dont see any of there hexes like a definitive information like "go there" pr "definitele not this"

With unchanging hexagrams I find it helps to focus on the image: Yi's advice for best practice in the situation. Yi could be indicating something like this -

15 - Remaining close to your basic and true needs will provide smooth and prosperous progress.
7 - A situation that could be awash with lamenting. Embrace the wider picture and then make your free-will choice.

Do you mean 17, not 7?

38 to 24...it might be a fine place if you can be patient with adjusting, settling in, and getting to know people. Maybe in the beginning you'd feel like an outsider, but lines 2 and 4 both mention meeting good people. Even line 6 is encouraging about people, in the end. Once you get past the defending-against-pigs-and-devils part (!), it turns out "Not robbers at all, but marital allies."

24 is a turning point - literally the winter solstice, the shortest, darkest day of the year, but the days get longer and brighter from there.

I think if it was me, and I liked the apartment in the usual ways of judging an apartment, I don't think I'd be put off by the reading. Unless...this is guessing, but you say it's a house with an apartment? Do you mean it's not a large apartment building? It might depend on what you want from an apartment. In a large building you might have a lot of anonymity. In a smaller house-like place, you wouldn't. If that matters, either way.

Yes. 7 carries a sense of potentially becoming overwhelmed by all the possibilities. Organise and set limits.
this is great advice. theere is a ton of advertisement and one could spend ages going through them, haha. thank you!

thank you!
it is a big tall building, sorry for being unclear (english is not my mother tongue and for me house is just any building - good to know the difference!).
having some anonymity is fine but it is not that muc of a priority - i am a quiet person who doesnt do any special settings i guess.
i usually live in mid size apartment buildings, this one is big, maybe not as valuable in terms of historic context but it has advantages for example more modern electricity and pipes (the place where i live was not build for so many electric appliances).
