Approaching things from another angle

Re: wanting to reconnect with my ex, I've been too focused on being "right" and trying to say "no look, what you were feeling was wrong because blah blah."

The Yi has been giving me 15s and 36s like crazy. Being all lawyerly and fighting for what is "right" is certainly not "humble" and may be "hiding the light" so to speak.

So I wanted to consult the Yi again from this new perspective:

What if I send me ex a letter apologizing (and telling her I understand how she was feeling without trying to place blame)?

What should I do to get back together with my ex?

There's that 15 again. 46 usually means good progress, right? So instead of trying to force my opinions about things and still continue to defend myself, I should be more humble, right?

I've read so many ways to interpret 4 moving lines, such as take them in order, or take the lowest of the non-changing lines in the related (second) hexagram. Seems like that must be a pretty intricate situation for me to have gotten 4 moving lines in my answer.

For posterity, I wish to take on this reading, as I received the 58.1.2.4.5>2 result, and it doesn't seem to have been addressed. My feeling is:

Right now (last year), you are hiding out, not dare showing your light; but in your own mind, you're going back and forth, not really able settle on a determined route. Perhaps one moment in blame, the other in understanding toward your ex.

I really like Bradford's method of working with all changing yang lines: that all the yang is turning to yin and opening to receptivity. Therefore, I read this as, if you did this (your proposal of writing the letter and apologizing, etc.), chances are this communication would open up a myriad possibilities for you due to your receptivity and willingness to serve. The yang energy is now yin, and the sky is the limit.

Some find that 15 is the hexagram of getting real, and I agree; but I also find it seems to be about getting real through humility. Facing in myself where I was out of touch,and then bringing this "reality" to the situation at hand. The 2nd line gives voice to this integrity. So perhaps sharing with her the results of your realizations.
