Ok this is a difficult question I think ... As many of you know I am enjoying decent success as an actress but nothing that made me rich or something - yet decent and I made a lot of movies over the past 13 years.

But there is so much more creative potential in me in all sectors of arts - yet I can't do it myself since I can't finance these things and would need a mentor. So in my desperation I asked:

I know I'll need a mentor for this - I know I'm poor but I have a lot to give creatively and as a friend - so how in the world can I find a mentor who is wealthy enough and who I can pay back with what I have to give as a friend and human being ???? (of course not meant in a sexual way/of course not meant in a sugar daddy relationship way)

the answer I received from the I Ching was

42.5 > 27

please someone tell me what exactly that means? Does the Ching tell me how to find such a person ???

I'd be very very thankful for replies and explanations - I know the answer seems obvious but I am still a bit unsure about my own I Ching reading abilities :)

love and light to everyone

Please could someone please tell me what the answer means that the Ching gave me?? I know that the idea of mentorism might appall some people cos they see something wrong behind it but in arts it is not .. almost all visual artists have or had mentors behind them who help/sponsor their work and work close with vernissages and galleries... Please someone tell me what that answer means:

42.5 > 27

Mentor-ism in no way appalls me. If I would have listened to my early mentor better, I would have avoided a lot of tail-chasing and poor decision making. He did help me to put money in my own pocket, but never financed my business directly. Still, at another time and occupation, in the entertainment/artistic field, it wasn't a mentor who helped but a manager. I think they may cross over a bit but there are differences, as my manager or agent never directly offered advice, only provided opportunities, opened doors. I think it's helpful to decide which of the two you would benefit most from at this time.

I received this same reading recently when asking, what are the benefits of not looking outward for company? since my questions regarding seeking a local companion have always been the same for the last several years, which in a nutshell can be summed up with h12.

If I were to apply this same dynamic to your question... well, I think you can see where that would lead? However, everything in oracle reading must consider context, which may be very different from person to person, circumstance to circumstance. In my case, I interpret it as developing a richer inner life. In your case, that may still apply, without excluding an active outer life, but either way it can certainly set the stage for a beneficial path to follow. Kindness is its own increase, and nourishes yourself, even if no one else.

There's another thought I'll just toss out there. I've been fortunate to meet a number of successful musical artists, and in every case, the more famous they were, the kinder and more humble they also were.

It simply means that you can find nourishment (the food you need) by nothing more than the giving spirit of the heart. Instead of focusing on getting, give what you have generously and fully...what you perceive as a one way action will turn into a two way stream of nourishment.
