Just been trying to work out a time question following Richardo Andree's work.

Does anyone have any skill in this? I am just trying out...so any offers of help with the procedure - which I may have got totally wrong...would be very much valued!

Question is: How long must I wait? (hopefully same as 'time' question..?)

Received Hex 18.2>52

From what I gather the Consultation time is Spring (Chen); Start is 'Sun'. Finish is 'Ken'. Following the trigram round clockwise... This seems to be saying because I have not passed through Consultation time, the divination refers to Past time and is not relevant to the future for that reason... There was a changing line 2, as well which similarly did not pass through time of Consultation today, 10/3/14) - so stuck in psychic past...&...'stupido'!!??

I will try to post picture of my working out...but don't hold your breath.

Any helpers out there?

No help with Ricardo Andree, but can't help notice between 18 and 52 the trigrams are Mountain, Mountain, Mountain, Wind.

Is that Bob Dylan singing "The answer my friend is blowing in the wind?" that I hear in the background?

Answers are all around us and easy to perceive if we simply try. They are not always easy to grasp, or to catch hold of much like things cast upon the wind, but not impossible to those committed to it.

Not what you were looking for, but maybe something to hum while you're working it out :)...

I'm going to bail on this one. Since I don't do time line readings for myself, neither should I attempt them for anyone else.

Hi Wisewoman,

I just now tried this on a reading of my own...and am thoroughly perplexed. But if you're still interested maybe we could try to figure it out together?

A couple things right off the bat:

  1. To mark the point of inquiry, do you think we should be selecting the opposite season or date because we're in the northern hemisphere? So, we should be marking "Autumn" instead of Spring? In other words - right now it's the beginning of Spring in the northern hemisphere, but we wouldn't pick Spring on the diagram, because the diagrams were set up for the southern hemisphere. I think?
  2. How did you get hours instead of days? The article said that each trigram is 45 days (approx. 364 days divided by 8 trigrams), or else 3 hours (24 hours divided by 8 trigrams) - but how do you know if it's telling you hours or days? Did you know just because of the matter you were asking about?

Looking again at what you did...it seems you did flip the diagram? You marked your starting point in Chen/Thunder, on the leftmost edge, but in the diagram here that's labelled September 18th, not March. (September is the start of the spring season in the southern hemisphere.)

I read a few posts by Jesed, here, here, and here, and unless I missed it, he never mentioned flipping the diagram to account for hemispheres, nor did I see him asking the querent where they lived.

So...maybe you don't have to worry about it?
