Further to my thread about my noise issue with my landlord....it did improve for a week or so but unfortunately it's gone back to what it was after I paid him a months rent.
I am becoming very resentful and I'm not entirely sure its just the noise issue I asked how I can get over my resentment

Does this reading suggest I need to find a way to attract something better for myself?
I have talked to him over and over again in the nicest possible way but clearly I'm not getting through although I am well aware he's an extremely selfish man so it's probably more he doesn't care enough. I am going away to work in 4 weeks time but 4 weeks serms a long way off right now.

Hello Ocean girl. I read once that to change someone's attitude towards you was to imagine a silver pathway leading from you to the other person, that it makes them more amenable. Worth a try? Another exercise was to send them love - a bit more difficult when you feel like strangling them.

Thanks meigga that's the sort of thing I've been doing but to little effect....he said one day he never does anything for anybody without a return. Kindness for itself doesn't exist in his World...he even calls his gf a peasant even though it's clear he adores her. I'm afraid I've decided to go tit for tat. I got given a piano not long ago it's out of tune and I'm out of practice and normally I wait til he goes out to play as I should imagine it's awful to listen to. But after last nights noise and knowing he and his gf like to sleep in til at least 10am on the weekend I started playing early this morning.

Ocean, I think you have become sensitized (31) to him. Such a man is not likely to change anytime soon, no matter what you do. Look around to see if you can find a better situation for yourself. Something might be available -- you never know.

I know you're right ginnie so many times I've tried to desensitize myself from him....it's been one of the weirdest 'connections' I've ever had with anybody. I've a strong feeling I'm moving elsewhere but not quite yet. At present I want to keep the place for my home base until I work out a permanent job situation in the outback. I'm going to try and go to the job a bit earlier so I don't have to wait the next 4 weeks out here but still keep it this as my home base until I work out the change. I was just hoping there was at least a temp solution until I start the job.
