Can someone please help? Same hexagram twice for an old relationship

Hello and thanks for reading.

I did a reading yesterday to gain clarity on an old romantic relationship that was nice, but ended badly.

He got in touch to let me know he'd be in my city and we may talk/meet, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I'm thinking it may help me clarify, or it may stir up old wounds.

The question I asked was: What can you tell me about this situation? And I got 63, no changing lines.

Then I asked: What should I do and got 63.1, 63.3, changing to 8.

Much as I love that the I Ching gave me this insight - twice, no less, I want to be sure that I understand.

I've done a hexagram search, and am still a little confused. What I think is that: the relationship is over (63), and that it is best not to associate with this person (8.3).

Please let me know if I'm missing something? It would be a shame to not meet up with them if it would indeed be a good thing.

Hi Tabitha,
Yes I would agree with you. It seems 63 is reminding you that the relationship is a closed chapter now.

63.3 The peace of mind that you have gained to move on wasn't easily won.
63.1 So if you get together with him it may just confuse and hurt you again, kind of a set back.

He means you no harm, but keep your reservations.
