Cast 12.3 for 'Advice'?

Hi
Need some help with this cast.
I asked for advice in dealing with a person. Context: we had a thing in the past; we broke, and friendship was gone down the drains along with the "thing"; recently we are working on a project together for a period; this person is being a bit of a bully during our work hours; very annoying.
I usually react, which, people say, does not help at all... I tried to keep aloof, but I have my limit, and my limits are quite narrow lately.
I asked Yi Ching for advice, then got Hex. 12.3.
I am not sure how "shame" is an advice. Sounds more like a description of the situation... And, even so, are they the one bearing shame? Or am I being poked by the Yi, who says "Shame on you!"

Not sure.

Can you help?

Oh, and forgot to add:
I got Hexagram 63.4.5 when I asked "what did I do wrong?". I asked in case Yi is poking me and saying "Shame on you, isacosmo!!".

12.3 can be seen as advice to embrace the shame and commenting more in terms of not behaving like a victim.

You are following your well entrenched paths of thinking and behaviours here and have missed opportunities to act / think in different ways (63.4). Similarly, you are not showing your true self, or being true to yourself. You are making sacrifices to the wrong direction (63.5).

... or it might mean nothing like this at all.

You really hit the nail. I tend to victimization, and unexpectedly yesterday at later hours, that person contacted me. We talked, things came out. I tend to dismiss my behaviours sometimes, telling myself and others that I have a quiet nature and/or being right in my responses , although unproportioally aggressive responses sometimes.
