Changing Jobs: 40 Line 3 & 6 turning into 50

Hello guys/gals,

I have asked the I Ching on and off for the past 20 years (maybe a few questions per few years and sometimes I feel my interpretations are too optimistic or pessimistic, so I decided (for the first time) to see what others think...

I have been working for this very large multinational company for several years with very good success to the point of been identified as a top talent just last year and exposed to the company's very top management. This should have been my opportunity for my next career move,..., but at the same time, my ex-boss got in a crossroad situation with his boss (and fired), and now, him (my ex-boss boss) somehow when he sees me he sees my ex-boss, so the last 6 to 9 months at work has been plain hell... working twice as much as for no recognition.

so a couples of days ago, I decided to look for another job (I already applied for several jobs) within the same company but with another sector (so by leaving the sector, I will lose my top talent status) obviously this feel more like going backwards (7 years to get here and now I am trowing it in the garbage), but at this point I just want to get out of here...

so I asked for the chances of finding such a job and got 40 line 3 & 6 changing into 50. It seems good and to correlate with my situation, but I would love to know what you guys think of this...

PS: The reason I am asking the forum is because I have enjoyed reading you guys interpretations which are always different and better than mine for the same Hex ....lol...

It has a good explanation of its various possible meanings. I think it might suggest you need to decide what's more important to you, giving up your current status or finding a new job and accepting your lower status in that job.

Line 6 talks of being prepared and acting at the right moment to get yourself to the goal. So I would say the chances are very good, as long as you A. accept that there will be a lowering of your status and are willing to deal with it and B. do the legwork and act at the right moment to secure your new job.
