I asked this question shortly after the submarine was located and the divers declared dead. I have never gotten hex1 with all the lines changing to hex, 2 before so I was completely baffled and didn’t post it here. Now however that a few days have gone by and the story is still in the news I think I’m getting an understanding as to what this reading is saying which is that the titanic story is such an enduring tale that anything to do with it becomes famous too. I think the accident has injected new attention and thus new energy this fascinating shipwreck saga.. I suspect we’re going to be hearing a lot more about it.

Hi rosada

'Meeting a group of dragons without a head; good fortune' seems a a strangely conflicting message for a comment on a story of disaster and the death of 5 people, amidst a background of ignored safety warnings.

1 <> 2
'Initiating' through 'Responding'

On the surface could just be commenting on how the massive pressures /creative force (1) acting on the submarine at depth initiated the yielding of the structure and the subsequent catastrophic implosion that occurred (2).

Although I struggle to see any good fortune in this, other than the accident has exposed the shenanigans that the tour operators we up to and hopefully there will be higher design and build regulations brought to bear for future ventures such as this. Hex 2 holds the situation within an image of sustaining virtue to sustain all beings, which could align with a theme of less shenanigans in future leading to improved future safety.

Similarly Hex 1 advocates an image of maintaining all things as vital without ceasing. Perhaps because the vitality of the sub wasn't maintained the accident happened.

The advice when getting the 6 changing lines is to read the judgement of the relating hexagram. This in hex 2 speaks of the smoothness that comes from following rather than leading and that as a result of this the normal course of events will prevail. Perhaps, a comment like 'every cloud has a silver lining'.

I'm not seeing as you have "the titanic story is such an enduring tale that anything to do with it becomes famous too", however I willing to be persuaded.

Take Care

I didn't realize there is a specific interpretation for this reading. Sharing this from Tuck Chang's book:
Text: 見群(group, flock)龍无 首,吉(auspiciousness)
The subject is in a state that a flock of dragons appear with no leader (首), which is of auspiciousness.
His advice for it is:
to rule the world peacefully together with other leaders. All the lines start changing to feminine now; there will be no fighting among the dragons for leadership and they can live together in peace; this is auspicious.

Here's an article that makes sense with this interpretation:

"The Titanic disaster led to a rethink of international regulations. Titan may have a similar legacy"

I had the random/odd thought while considering this cast that in fact the Titanic and all attempts to uncover it, are, like Tutankhamun's tomb, cursed. If I have such a thought when considering a mysterious cast I pay attention

I have no specific beliefs around curses but one simply cannot deny that the occurrences around Tutankhamun's tomb, so many deaths, went beyond coincidence. And if course there would have been curses laid against the raiding of the tomb. I don't know much about the actual curse I only recall seeing a documentary about the extraordinary events following the excavation.

Curses surely involve the harnessing of the great forces of nature, energy channelled in a specific way harnessing forcing beyond the human. 1>2 is quite a superhuman cast. There is all the more 'might' to the curse when it is placed there to prevent harm or sacrilege, when it has the power of good so speak on it's side. The Egyptians used powerful magic and there was an arrogance in disregarding it.

But the Titanic ? Could that have been cursed at some point? I tend to think so actually. Therefore further mysterious deaths could occur when trying to uncover it's secrets. Although presumably previous investigators of the Titanic were fine so who knows.

I do think there's more than meets the eye here. I think there's more forces at work here than just the physical.

Just Googled 'Was the Titanic cursed?' and actually there was a story of an Egyptian mummy attached to it. I wasn't aware of this when I wrote the above post

From the above

William Stead, a British editor, was a first-class passenger on the Titanic, and while on board, he entertained other guests by sharing stories about his work.

For years, he had been documenting "Egyptian curses" and writing about "Native American burial grounds", and claimed that a "mummy" was causing destruction in London.

Some claimed that documenting the mummy had caused the curse to follow Mr Stead, and others claimed that it was on the ship.

Several survivors later said they heard Mr Stead share stories about a "mummy's curse", and word of the story made it back to The Washington Post which ran the headline: "Ghost of the Titanic: Vengeance of Hoodoo Mummy Followed Man Who Wrote Its History."

There seem to be all kinds of connections to curses and also the current tragedy echoed the events of the Titanic sinking.

1.7, 'dragons with no head'....makes me think of unleashed energy continually released into earth in the way a curse as an energy form does not die, it remains potent or liable to waken when disturbed again.

My_key was wondering about my idea that “anything to do with such an enduring tale would become famous too.” I was looking at line 5 with the dragon appearing in the heavens and the six change lines as referencing an entire flock of dragons, and seeing these as indicators this submarine story had joined the flock of stories surrounding the Titanic and would become a part of the enduring mythology.

More than mythology perhaps as that is stories, myths from the past, true or untrue. This is alive now, if it is the energy of a curse it hasn't gone anywhere it is still active when triggered.

The question is "Comment on the Titanic submarine story."
The answer is H1 with all lines moving. Looking at this from the trigrams' point of view, it means that the trigrams are very unstable (because of the moving lines) and thus the whole hexagram is on the verge of collapse, so to speak. The trigrams of H2 are associated with earth, soil and the dark, among other things. H2 can thus be seen in this case as "Ashes to ashes and dust to dust".
So as I see it, the answer sadly indicates exactly what happened.

I read that the implosion would have caused the passengers to be immediately turned to ash!

Yes I have read this too, experts in the Dutch newspapers say that no bodies can probably be recovered due to the enormous force with which the implosion took place. Very sad!

I don't know much about any of it but I think there has been lots of this. For instance there was a very successful movie - when was that, the late '90s? - with nothing gone wrong that I know of.

Yes, 1997.

Who knows how curses work, though. Maybe people go too far at some point.

But the movie wasn't approaching/ tampering with the physical remains of the vessel. However as I said many previous actual physical explorations have likely been made with no ill effects or deaths.

I don't of course know if it's a curse though but it's possible IMO.

Just asked, “How do curses work?” And got 47.5 - 40.

”Nose cut, feet cut, bound with sashes” sounds like a mummy…
47. Isolation.
40.The need for forgiveness.

Thanks, I can see the connections that you have made now.
I would still look at it more as none of the lines have any more importance than another and that the thing to look at is what all 6 changing lines mean in themselves.
Wilhelm comments 'that the whole of the hexagram is in motion' and that what results is 'the strength of the Creative and the mildness of the Receptive unite'. He sees strength in the flight of dragons and mildness because their heads are hidden and this combination of strength and mildness is what leads to good fortune.

It's great that everyone that posts here is able to offer a different perspective on things.
