commitment in relationship hexagram 44.2.4.5 > 52

I haven’t been yet in a long term relationship. I have to accept that it’s just didn’t happen but also that it was my choice, my unability to commitment.
(My first post on this site was also related to this question and I received important guidance what I am trying to follow.)
Still, I would like to kind of “forgive me” my mistakes and make a fresh start, and trying to correct my way.
I asked “Why I was not able to make a commitment? How I was?”
I received hexagram 44.2.4.5 > 52

The image of the hexagram represents this independent woman who is just going on her way, represents temptation and not recommendable for a relationship. My impression is that I am kind of rigid in contradictory ways, between not taking risks and pushing too much.
Am I right thinking that the solution is to “keep calm” (52?)

Why I was not able to make a commitment? How I was? 44.2.4.5 > 52

44.2 shows someone who does have a sexual partner and wants to be exclusive with him/her. 44.4 shows someone without any sexual partner. And 44.5 shows pregnancy. Overall I get the impression that having or not having a sexual partner is not that important to you, as deep down you're looking for a suitable man to have children with. I believe that even if it takes a while, it will happen, and then you'll settle down (52).

It is a difficult reading. The only thing that makes sense to me is applying the Nanjing rules, which gives you a 7 in 44.6. In Richters' translation it reads:

MATCH THEIR HORN. MISFORTUNE, NO HARM.
The rams LOCK HORNS. An omen of MISFORTUNE, but NO HARM.

This indicates that the failure to commit was more to do with the nature of the relationship than with any failure on your part (it was not a harmonious relationship to begin with).

I have to admit, I never read the changing lines. If the querent does not say enough about the situation to merit a reading, it's not worth trying to figure out what they mean by reading the I-Ching. If they do, one can do with the hexagram and trigram meanings. So to answer your question, I don't see the point.

True, if we have little info to work with about the situation, it can be difficult to impossible to comprehend.


But,
when the question is in regards to ourselves and things in our own lives,
it is much easier to see how every triggered line applies, ignoring none, and not referring to lines we didn't recieve.
