Angie-
This is one of the main reasons I use transitional hexagrams and read only one line in each hexagram.
At any rate, the Yi might be pointing to a weak spot in depth of commitment. I might concentrate my efforts here.

Angie,

38 is obviously about opposing views.

The *buzz* word in your comments, which leaps out at me here is in your phrase - "I asked whether my husband would ever have an affair." Please look again at your word, "ever." This is quite different than asking, "Is he having an affair?"

You are asking something outside the scope of reality, it appears.

If I'm correct in this assertion, then the Ching is directing you back onto a truer path: That which is not based on suspicions or presumptions, but that which is based on what endures, that which is real.

Again, assuming the assertion is correct, the lines in 24 offer you options from which to choose. These are your choices to make, and they can have far-reaching ramifications for the future of this relationship, which is largely based on trust.
