connecting, 53 to 11

Hello everyone!

I'd need to establish a connection with a certain individual but am pretty unsure regarding the way to do that.
I asked the IC "how to connect" and got hex 53 changing to 14.

It seems to imply that I'd need to find helpers (maybe someone to introduce us? or to organize a meeting?) but also that I should wait for that other person to act first and it seems contradictory. Hexagram 14 seems promissing regarding the connection - and I also think it would be important to meet - so I'd like to know how to do it.

Still, does "doing it slowly" imply my doing it, finding a helper or waiting for that person to do it. That's the part I'm confused about.

In Wilhelm's translation of 53, there are sentences such as: "The development of events that leads to a girl's following a man to his home proceeds slowly." (applicable to any connection, of course) but also those that mention "constant and gradual work".

"Working" and "following" seem contradictory, or...?
