I am interested in how multiple changing lines produce multiple changing hexagrams.

For instance:

35 (2,3,4) changing to 18

You can provisionally attain hexagram 64 when line 2 changes first. Then 50 Cauldron as line 3 changes & finally 18 Decay.

I am fairly certain though largely untested that you could watch a circumstance divined as such unfold in that more "slow motion" unfolding of a pattern.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this ??

Very cool thank you svenrus!

I like the term Transitional Hexagrams better.

I would be deeply hesitant to ascribe the omens or changing line readings
to the transitional hexagrams themselves. But it is more thorough. I disagree
that it would work though. I think you have to see the transitional hexagrams
as overlays on the original reading and changing lines.

Great to see this has been thought of and discussed.

There are so many ways to read the I Ching. I have found the way I like, which is about the same way most people here seem to read it, I think anyway, but my way is no better than anyone else's way. It is such an interesting and deep book.
