Hey everyone,

Just to introduce myself, I'm Matt, and have been studying the I Ching for about 10 years now. I spent roughly 3-4 years studying the original poetic texts with full image traditions, concordance, symbol traditions etc, before eventually committing them to memory.

Though I am surprised no one has mentioned I Ching cycles. I have read many books by translators, some versions (Wilhelm in particular) appear to be extremely inaccurate, Stephen Karchers first books were as close (text-wise) to the original as any I have read. But still, there is some serious lack of interpretation on offer in this wonderful subject. I have glanced at S. Karchers new work, with the introduction of nuclear trigrams associated with each level of change, and while I admire his depth of thought and sense of discovery, I feel the most important areas are being missed.

I have devised individual cylic movements for the I Ching. After all, energy is forever transforming, and I believe the I ching is a model, as cryptic as it is, of how opposing energys in this universe interact. Incredibly, some of the lines of thinking are just so off centre, it makes daily newspaper astrology look credible. The I Ching is from a place where energy exists as one, rather than the polarized form we have in our lives now, and I ve heard the word "Polarizing" a few times as Ive broused these pages, mainly in reference to the trigram being "important in some way". Of course its important!! Its the force that keeps things in opposition but connectivity, the key to the I Chings potential wisdom.

I have done some work with nuclear trigrams, and nuclear of nuclear trigrams, and found direct correlations matching the current sun cyle, the math I have done even fits the number 64 perfectly in 365, for a cyclic order. I have worked with the earlier heaven arrangement, when Radiance was Easterly rather than Shake, and am currently matching it to the polar and equatorial movements of the sun. I have found that there are certain energies in this current heavenly arrangement that work to structure the sequence of events, some nuclears cannot be returned to a state of Field or Force (the most natural state of energy). When correlating partnerships between the 8 trigram energies, a pattern also forms, much like a natal wheel in astrology, and based on the information I have collected, the shape drawn is a pentagon star - and these are only using the strong aspects, no weak or medium. The results are astonishing and exciting.

But the most important thing I am a little dismayed in hearing, is how people are applying the Oracle to their own personal energys. All energy is connected, hence the reason why I study the Earth and Sun's electromagnetic field for cylcic changes also, but each human is a huge whirling mass of electromagnetic energy too! The whole point of Augmenting and Diminishing is to grow parts of our energy we normally neglect. We do this, by first becoming aware of our own personal cycles, and then we augment for growth, and diminish to harvest the results. Its the way energy works, except for humanity who is obsessed with living only half their lives in a routine (getting up at the same time, going to bed at the same time) this process is mediocre at best. Most of us miss half the energys that would bring about a full cycle, and instead we wait for small openings of knowledge, either created by a synchronistic event forced by intuition or the Earths own cyclic generosity.

And the interpretations of the transforming lines are on the whole - wrong. A small example of a transforming line which many of you will have no doubt had before, and dreaded looking at. 56.1 Sojourning, changes to 30 Radiance. Im sure many of you have wondered how this initial six change can be so bad if it changes into the beautiful clarity and awareness of Radiance! Its quite simple, Sojourning is a misunderstood text, as so many are. It applies to synchronistic meetings and conversations of high awareness. The inner trigram, Bound, represents accomplishing words, but with a good limit for articulation, the outer Radiance implies growing awareness. Now this whole trigram is about meeting people and the connections we establish with them. The transforming line reads "Fragmenting, fragmenting, splitting off ones place, grasping calamity".
Imagine a situation where 2 people have an important conversation, each have excellent information for each other, but this weill require them both to articulate in speech, to take it in turns, to offer and idea, but then wait for the shift of energy to go to the other person{s} so they may expand. Its the purpose of sjourning, to build an outer awareness through inner limits. The nuclear trigram suggests a great build up of energy if this trigram is used correctly, and the nuclear of THAT nuclear reverts back to the creative energy of Force...the symbol tradition SHOULD read "A chun tzu brightens his consideration to connect people and not detain litigation". Again, this stresses, our image should be directed towards inspiring talk, "brightened consideration" - Bound allowing intervals of speech.
The transforming line is indicating that a person is NOT using his inner limit well, they are not allowing the energy to pass from one person to the other in conversation, they are feeling the build up of energy created by the connection and as indicated by the nuclear, but the are not being "small", the impulse has them doing the opposite. The feel the impulse of the expanding radiance on the outer, and they are fragmenting the conversation. When the energy is due to pass, they continue and split off anothers place to speak. They are drawing on the energy built by the connection and in feeling so good in the conversation, they quite frankly WAFFLE THEIR HEADS OFF! Sure they feel great, hence the 30 Radiance, but they have not allowed the group to share valuable information, incidentally setting you back slightly....

Im sorry I must cut this short, I have probably said enough already, but Im very tired and need a little sleep. Thanks for listening, and please again let me emphasise, I am not disrespecting the current Ching scene, Im just trying to understand it, because this is my first time online with this.

Footnote for Matt: for some of the above, read 'hexagram' in place of 'trigram'. Nuclear hexagram of 56 is 28, nuclear hexagram of 28 is 1, for instance.

Nice to meet someone else who started out with the Eranos edition!

I agree it is probably the closest we can get to the original without learning Chinese.

On 56,1, its theme of self-sabotage, and its link to 30, remember the Marianne Williamson quotation that 'it is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us' and how 'your playing small doesn't serve the world' ('fragmenting, fragmenting' - also translatable as 'trivial, petty'). I blogged this one a few months back.

Hope you can say more about the cyclic movements and patterns...? You can post images here if that would help the explanation.

(1) for some focus on cycles concepts in the IC etc see:

(2) Matt wrote: "A small example of a transforming line which many of you will have no doubt had before, and dreaded looking at. 56.1 Sojourning, changes to 30 Radiance. I think perhaps you are being a little too literal/specific in interpretation here, the hexagrams are GENERAL and have universal qualities not expressed clearly in the traditional texts so focusing on 'radiance' and beauty etc IMHO misses a lot.

Have a look at the generic attributes for fire trigram and its hexagram:

http://www.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/lofting/x101101.html

and for 56:

http://www.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/lofting/x101100.html

As for 56.1:

Line 1 -
"A fragmented journey. A disaster splits one's home."

Any issue of loyalty (which is what 56 covers together with 62 - the latter unconditional, the former conditional) would include events where, on a journey that journey can be broken with news of a family disaster, one would need to return (which is a concept of hexagram 24 that controls the line 1 position).

Hexagram 30 deals with guidance and direction-setting, and so an ideology - which would include one's 'home'. (within the set of fire-based hexagrams is such as 37 etc so the generic theme is 'in the ball park') - as such one must return to the home of one's 'light' ;-)

What is the issue with that? All that is being described is one of many archetypal events that occur to those who are loyal and 'far aware' from that base.

To Hilary, thankyou for the welcome, and also for the footnote! I had not slept yesterday for very many hours and my fatigue did not help in the technical or grammatical side
sad.gif

To Kevin, thankyou also, I shall post some more detailed parts of my work very soon.

To Lightofdarkness, I am printing out the links you gave so I may study them more and gauge a thorough response. But already, I see the text in those links is so very far away from the original text. This is where you have to be careful with translated versions, ironically its like a game of "chinese whispers". I will reply back later this afternoon.

SC - my perspective is not 'traditional' - the focus is moving a 10th century BC perspective that is local/partial into the 21st century AD through understanding what is behind the IC - its universal nature that the 'ancients' were trying to describe through the making of local analogies to their times.

See if you can 'get' my perspective through:

http://www.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/icstruct.html

We are moving way beyond ancient china, we are moving into the nature of our species and the nature of our consciousness and how it derives meaning.

BTW - to get the other page in those links on a particular hexagram, click on the hexagram image.

Okay, this has been quite a draft, so I apologise for the length and probably advise you print this out to read to prevent eye strain!! Thanks.

Before I introduce my method of interpreting the IC, I would like to pervay my own outlook on the subject. Nowadays it is extremely rare that I will use a divination method to concult the IC, instead I use cycles to determine how the energy flows. (I will explain this at a later date) As I have said before in previous posts, I see the IC as tool created to help us become more aware. Im not just talking about aware in everyday events via divining; "Shall I go to the ball tonight?"; "I really like my boss, does he/she feel the same way?"... Im talking about more aware, full stop. We all know these texts have a direct correlation to synchronicty and intuition, and I wonder if any have read James Redfield's Celestine Prophecy series? This is the awareness Im visualising, a greater understanding of the world, interpenetrating with our higher selves, the ability to see energy and most importantly, the true realisation of who we are and why we are here.

During my many years of study with the Original Texts, I became drawn to the idea of cycles. Nature is a great example of how this works, simplifying the transformation of energy to 4 phases - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The Earth and Sun follow the same path, with a polar flip and magentic plate reversals at obviously a much slower rate. Humans have the same cycle, as does every process in the known Universe. An idea will start with its birth in Spring - the sprouting of a new seed with infinite paths ahead, then Summer(Growing) - the growth of the seed, the expansion of the idea at its peak, then Autumn (Harvesting) - where the idea is nourished and decided how to be best put into action, then Winter (Trial) - the venturing of the idea to be out into action; and so the cycle starts again in Spring. This happens on all levels, from galaxys to atoms. I began to notice parts of the IC's hexagrams belonged to various parts of this cycle and this was around the time I had my first ideas which I adhere to today.

The process of Augmenting and Diminshing (41-42) explain this beautifully. Augmenting occurs at the birth (Spring) of every action, then expands and pours more in to allow growth (Summer), becoming rich in possibility. Then the process is reversed to diminishing (Harvesting-Trial, or Autumn and Winter) to nourish, articulate and complete the cycle allowing a new one to start. The mechanics of Augmenting something and then Diminishing it are paramount to balancing energy and allowing the new to become manifested and the old to be stripped away.

Before I go any further, I must point out that humans do not do this on the scale they are able to. Sure, we complete many mini cycles during our days, but we neglect parts of our own cycles; whether it be Spring, Growing, Harvest or Trial, because of routine. And this routine is not easy to change in todays society, with work, parenting, old life habits etc. We go to bed at a certain time, we awake at a certain time. Lets take Fred Bloggs as a test subject. Fred is 35 years old, he gets up at 8am every morning ready to go to work. He's a cheerful guy, full of optimism, and when he gets home he'll watch some t.v, have a play on the PC and head to bed at about midnight. Fred Bloggs always asks himself "why is it I have so many good ideas but dont put them into action?" or "Why do I start things but rarely finish?" Good question Fred, the answer is because you havnt completed the old cycle to allow a new one to start. Those 8 hours between midnight and 8am hold a plethora of invisible energies he hasn't explored since he was a teenager, when life was exciting and fresh! You see, Fred was born at 8:30am, about the same time he wakes up, so in his daily cycle he experiences Spring, Growing, and a small part of Harvesting. He has missed some very important personal energies, and only on completion of the old can a new cycle begin full of stimulating promise. Hes Augmenting but not Diminshing himself. All the great minds of our times, Einstein, Hawking, Newton, didnt have conventional sleep paterns, they were too busy extrapalating exciting new theories to worry about routine! And so they opened themselves to the process, they completed numerous cycles and allowed new growth and ideas, and the stripping away of old.

The I Ching even suggests what happens when energy is not properly nourished (Harvested). The clues are everywhere, but one example for the purpose of keeping this post becoming too long!! is 28 Great Exceeding. The sequence reads, "Not nourishing, by consequence being not permitted to stir things up". This is in reference to a cycle being unbalanced, and an excess of one energy. (Stir things means the spring of a new cycle)

There are numerous other links I could quickly mention that outline the importance of seeing every part of a cycle.

Symbol Traditions
39 Limping - "A chun tzu reverses his individuality to renovate actualising-tao(power and virtue)"
30 Radiance - "The Great person uses consecutive brightening to illuminate the four sides"
49 Skinning - "A chun tzu regulates time-reckoning to brighten the seasons"
42 Augmenting - "A chun tzu visualises improvement, by consequence shifting himself"
"A chun tzu possesses excee by consequence amending"

I could go on, but I hope you get the idea.

I view the I Ching as a wonderfully creative implement to help us harness the energy within us... how it moves at different parts of the cycle, how it can be corrected or ammended, etc. All with a single purpose in mind - to unlock true potential. And following our cycles, we can accellarate the process of transformation and bring a versatility into our lives that is sadly lacking. There is so much I have missed out in relation to cyclic order and hexagram interpretation, please forgive me, I have so much to do at the moment.

To lightofdarkness:-

I have read all the material from the links and have found it most interesting. Its my impression that you visit these sites often as a reference point based on the way you express yourself. The sinewave cycle is a fascinating idea, one I will look a little deeper into. Does this study also deal with molecular energy or just wave forms? Or is Sherrill focusing on wave forms to glimpse the overall pattern? Light is indeed a Universal anomaly in the sense that it exists in both wave and paricle form, something that baffled Einstein until the end of his days. And Im curious to know why you see the Inner Trigram as a past and the Outer Trigram as a future. This is a possibilty I too explored many moons ago, and eventually felt that the inner trigram was the inner energy of say...a human, and the outer energy is his external surroundings, and the process is one of interaction occurring simultaneously. Time, after all, serves the function of measuring distance, or events, as part of the space. I view future past and present as one on alternating vibrational states, but another question...if the cycle is a waveform, how does it deal with non waveform energy? Einstein for much of his life attempted to find a pattern to "Gods back garden", but his work ultimately spawned his greated adversary - Quantum Physics. At the smallests level in QP, an energy cannot be determined in behaviour, it seems to respond to the observers expectation or wish; eg: a particle will appear to occupy the same time and space simultaneously, something physically impossible, but it not QUANTUMLY physically impossible. Mathematics should never take a more important role than intuition.

I have studied the interpretations of 30 Radiance and 56 Sojourning from the link and they appear to be connected to the inventor of the sinwave theory. And who translated it? Wilhelm? Its so far away from the original texts its frightening. I could not even comment on comparing the commentary I have studied and the commentary you have there, it would take me hours just to point out the differences :S

Just back from a concert (not a great success), and really enjoying this on first read-through - thank you.

I think you will find that Chris (Lightofdarkness) regards the Chinese text and tradition as a subset of what he sets out in his own site, rather than the other way about.

I will have to pay attention to what you say about cycles and sleep patterns... (Frederica Bloggs here for starting but not finishing.)

A detail I can cope with in the post-Mahler fug... I don't see the sequence from 27 to 28 as you do. I think this is one of those steps which says you need the preceding hexagram to completed this one. Great Overstepping/ Great Exceeding is a way of 'stirring up': a big transition, a major start of new things. It can't happen - you couldn't have that concentration of creative energy in the centre with the potential to forge 'through the pass' - if it isn't first Nourished. When it is, then 28 isn't a collapse (see line 4, sustained by the Well), but more of a breakthrough.

(1) 27, 28 - EXCESS focus:

27 : excess - through too little, too empty, needs filling, hungering (gets into 'skeletal' forms, building with no content yet)

28 : excess - through too much, to full, needs emptying (covers going beyond what is required)

(2) 41,42 - REFINEMENT focus:

41 : refine - through distill [concentrate] If the concentration, the distillation fails then you get literal 'decrease' ;-) otherwise the 'decrease' is from a mixed state to a pure state.

42 : refine - through augment [add]

(3) The links I provided are visited often by me since they are MY websites ;-)

(4) for the links of IC interpretations and QM interpretations, where the both share the same methodology and in doing so both show 'wave interference' patterns - see the QM links in the "Book Of Structures" link I provided previously.

You appear to be strongly focused on the realm of EXPRESSION; my focus is more on what those expressions are trying to express - what they represent. As such, as Hilary pointed out, I consider the traditional material as a 'small world network' and so a subset of the 'bigger picture' ;-)

BTW - to make the point re the traditional sequence being derived recursively, we can fold the pattern to elicit opposites/complements. With 27,28 we have the corresponding pair of 37, 38:

37 : ridgidity - through structure (tension releasing)

38 : ridgidity - through perspective (tension reducing)

Note here such mappings where 27 covers the need to 'fill' the skeletal form of 'something' where in 37/38 the rigidity element reflects the infrastructure required that allows you to 'do your thing' tension-free ;-)

The other pairing is of 41,42 - they pair with 23,24 :

23 : return to the faith - through refurbishing, pruning

24 : return to the faith - through come back to

23, 24 complement the 'refinement' focus in 41, 42 in the coming back to a faith/pure perspective/augmented perspective etc.

Hi Hilary, I did not not mean to offer 28 Great Exceeding as a negative hexagram in any way, if it it came across this way, my mistake for not having time to explain more. 28 merely offers a constructive solution and way forward if 27 is not utilised fully, but to work with a new challenge you first have to understand it, which is what I feel the text does. And I should note here, that 27 Nourishing, is in the "Diminishing" part of the cycle I use, therefore it suggests for example; an idea that has grown has not been harvested (diminished), hence great exceeding, if not nourishing, by consequence not being permitted to stir up, or start a new cycle. I hope this is a little clearer

Lightofdarkness:- Sorry Chris, I did not read your last link, I copy and pasted my last post from MS word, I have taken a look now however. I find your work extremely interesting, and although it works under a different purpose than mine, there is a possibility that advancements of your process may lead to a greater understanding of magnetic fields, in particular the complex seemingly chaotic or random fields beneathe the suns surface. I will deffinately invest further time in looking at your method.

I guess you could say I am focused on the expression, though to clarify, I see every energy within the IC as an interpenetrating force with all others, and try to understand how they communicate as a whole, how they process of the transformation of energy from one to state to its next state can occur. I like the following phrase on your page:-

Due to the manner in which the structures of the I Ching are formed, so each hexagram is in fact made-up of its own nature plus the input of all of the other hexagrams. As such, we can consider each hexagram and coming with a 'genetic code' sequence, or its 'spectrum', made up of the expressions of other hexagrams THROUGH the particular hexagram under consideration.

This is how I see things also, I will try and post a picture of the way I see the cycle moving some time over the next couple of days, which means I will have to do the picture first! So please be patient, I have nothing on hard disk, only my notes.

The focus I was writing about was based on analysis of STRUCTURE. If we use the 'natural' development of the hexagrams by recursion of yin/yang we get the 'binary' sequence. From analysis of that methodology we find that each hexagram contributes to the expression of a particular hexagram and we can identify that contribution using the XOR operator of logic.

For example, the univeral qualities of hexagram 27 are of filling-in an 'empty' structure, IOW a skeletal form to which we need to add meat and muscle, an empty building in need of furnishings. The warning is to be careful about what we take-in. As such we are dealing with issues of infrastructure, of the architecture.

If we XOR this hexagram with ANY other, we will get a description of the skeletal form of that other hexagram; e.g. 100001 XOR 111111 will give us hexagram 28 - the skeletal form of 01 is 28 - excess, too much yang.

We can in fact identify the X-ness, e.g. the 27-ness, of any hexagram by XOR-ing it with the hexagram representing that X-ness.

The ability to do this is due to the artifacts generated by recursion - the METHOD encodes the whole in all parts where that method is what our brains do to extract the spectrum of a whole.

Since this is a property of recursion, so it is applicable to any other categorisation system that uses recursion of dichotomies - e.g. the MBTI and its categorisation of personas:

Hi SC...

Very nice to meet you. You said, "...and I wonder if any have read James Redfield's Celestine Prophecy series?"

I started to. I read about the first half of the first book and wondered all the while how it became a best seller. Publicity I suspected. I got very frustrated with it... disappointed. I thought it was simplistic and superficial... that he didn't get it... that he didn't get past the surface... in the first half anyway... and it didn't look like he was ever going to get much deeper. I found him to be terribly unaware actually.

But then again, at that time in my life I was a flaming atheist. I believed only in the collective electromagnetic field/synaptical energy output and the big invisible data warehouse in the sky produced by it. And I felt that he didn't anywhere near comprehend the immensity of that energy.

I'd love to know what impressed you about the book(s). I've since had my head turned around, and I wonder if I shouldn't try to revisit it.

Thanks.

Love,

Val

Hi Val,

The Celestine Prophecy series is so effective because it shines focus on the PRACTICAL side of spiritual understanding, rather than the THEORETICAL. The possession of huge quantities of knowledge and data in the mind is great, it means you have a very effective storage capacity and memory recall centre in your brain! But, the CP illustrates that much of this knowledge is not needed for a journey to higher consciousness, its merely "add-ons", the human need to disect and analyse the truth.

The book follows the voyage in the form of a series of 9 insights (in the first book), each insight gives you a little bit more information. The book is primarily concerned with energy and the interaction of thought/emotive energy on others and yourself. I have read many spiritual and scientific books in my short lifetime, and the CP is the best blend I have found yet, its a work of genius.

Remember, its focus is on the practical side of a journey, intuition rather than intellect, not the in-depth theoretical harnessing of boundless knowledge, this is the beauty of it - its simple, but can be as complex as you want to make it. Truth is simple. The disection of truth is complex.

So I highly recommend you revisit

Hi Matt...

Well here's another little ingredient to add to your understanding of my disappointment with the book.

My understanding of the energy people put out was not and is not theoretical. That was a bad assumption. I went searching for answers for why I was the way I am, and that's what I accepted as an explanation. A lot of universities were doing studies at the time I was searching, and it was all very scientifically feasible.

I'm highly intuitive. It's nothing I have to work at. It comes naturally. My intuition developed in my childhood. It kept me alive. And, by the time I was 23, I'd already figured out that I could see the future and other people's thoughts and feel their feelings. And, while experimenting with my 'gift', I also learned I could plant thoughts in someone else if I tried... and then I quickly learned not to... bad bad karma.

In my late twenties, I discovered Maria Papapetros and her classes. By the end of my first class with her, I was teacher's pet. She didn't want anyone else reading her but me. She made that clear. At the end of the six week session, she told me she thought I might be more 'gifted' that she. (It's not a talent. It's a gift... but only if it's used properly... for the right reasons. It's a part of us all that some us of discover and others don't.)

I could tune into people at will and enjoyed seeing their reactions when I would reveal their most secret desires to them. My reputation spread. I was offered a job... a prestigious job with a major television executive... because of my 'gift'. I learned over time how dependent people can be on such a gift... wanting to learn their future so that they don't have to make decisions. That's not possible btw, but some people just don't understand that. I didn't like seeing the neediness, so I hid my light... except for the occasional 'parlor trick' with people I felt I could trust.

By the time I'd read the Celestine Prophecy I'd had many experiences intentionlly and unintentionally, and I'd learned all about how the human brain and nervous system works... our electrical energy and waves and how to tune into those energy waves. So the book seemed incredibly silly to me. It seemed that the author had an inkling of what was possible and not much more.

I have a friend who's reading it. I haven't voiced my opinion to her. But I think I'll solicit hers and then see if she'll loan it to me. Hopefully I can get past the first half this time. If I do, I'll let you know.

Love,

Val

The book is a metaphor, offering those who havnt had the experiences you have had, the opportunity to have them, using very simple methods, thats the beauty.

I'd be very appreciative if you could offer some of your insight into your intuitive view of me as a person.

Dear Matt and Val,
Interesting discussion.....and odd bit of synchronicity is that this book has been on my coffee table for the past 2 weeks.... picked up by me, rather idly at the library, for a re-read which I hadnt gotten around to yet. I am newly inspired now to sit down with it tonight.

I am also intuitive - as I do think all people are also - and having also had a traumatic series of events in childhood, I think the ability became intensified. With the experience of trauma, the gift seems to flower, but it isnt always easy to trust it, nor to know exactly what to do with intuitive insights.

I know that I sometimes simply take it for granted that I sense things -before they happen, while they are happening, after they have happened-....and when it comes to synchronicities (the importance of which Redfield talks a lot about) I have trouble knowing how to connect the dots. Recently I woke up with this thought: "Just say 'yes'."
That sounds simplistic, but to me it made sense.

I have a habit of simply noting synchronicities, with curiousity, and then doing nothing about them. The idea of saying "yes" could mean exploring something that seems silly (logically) or just following the trail further without judgement. Because, if I remember, according to Redfield, when you follow the trail, the trail continues to open. If you don't do anything, and especially if you make a negative judgement (eg THAT is so silly, or THAT could never work or mean anything significant) then the trail ends and further synchronicities cease.

I am interested in reading more tonight now and also in hearing more from you both. I feel I have much to learn.

I never heard of Maria Papapetros. I will google her. Is she still alive? Does she write books?

Thank you for your insights above. I am not really sure I understand, Matt, how you use the I Ching differently....and also how to understand some of what you said above. ( I do keep things very simple!) About the sleep patterns...I seem to need so much sleep, precisely because my psyche seems to 'go to work' when I am sleeping and I very frequently wake up with insights and answers and directions. If I disturbed this pattern in favor of not missing some "important personal energies," I think I would miss out anyway, not to mention be rather dull and energy-less the next day ; ) Isn't it possible that our cycles complete themselves even as we sleep?

Hi Matt...

Okay... I got away from reading people like I said before when I became acutely and uncomfortably awareness of the potential for dependency, and I've never tried to read anyone without touching them or a piece of their jewelry as an 'antenna' first.

But you didn't ask me to tell you your future... if you're going to get the red sports car... where your relationship is going... or any other question that depends on your actions and decisions. You merely asked for my intuitive insight, so... over the course of the day I left myself open to any information that might come through about you.

Now since I haven't made the physical contact and all sorts of things can filter in since I'm open, I guarantee nothing... but here goes.

The thing that comes through the loudest is "You're on your own." The sentence "You're on your own" is important to you for some reason. I also get that it's not an uncomfortable "You're on your own." There may even be something a tad exciting about it... there's a thrill to it. It's like you're on your own with a pet project. It's no little thing either, and you anticipate success. The thrill has the element of fear... rollercoaster ride kind of fear, and the thrill is connected to the prospect of success. The prospect of failure has never crossed your mind regarding this project, and for you, it's simply a matter of how much success you will see.

What I pick up (intuitively or not) from reading your posts and looking at your picture is that you have everything you need to achieve success and you know it. IOW, you have that all important self-confidence. You're not a dreamer. When you get an idea... even one that some people may say "You're dreaming" to... you follow through with it, and you're tenacious. You have enough energy for three people, and you focus that energy... steadily.

You are like an open bottomless vessel for knowledge. And for you it's not about accumulating knowledge... it's about using it creatively. You might be a bit inventive. You share what you learn, but not didactically. I believe the conversation you opened here in this thread about energy and cycles was as much to learn from others as it was to share what you've discovered so far. You're a project person, but you always have time for people... very social for a project person.

You could be too sensitive... and know it. And you might have been too trusting in the past. You might have given too much to someone who didn't appreciate your generosity. It may seem like a less-than-intuitive thing to say because that's true for all of us sooner or later in our lives, but I feel it's something you've been dealing with especially recently. There may be someone new in your life, and you're especially conscious of the possibility of getting burned again, and proceeding with extreme caution as a result.

Okay... that's it for now. I'm heading for home. Again... I guarantee nothing. This is the first time I've tried tuning into someone without an 'antenna' or electrical connection. This was an experiment, and I would love some feedback.

Thanks.

Love,

Val

Ooops... as I'm proofing and editing, I'm getting something about your mother. She's a character. A live one. She may be where you get your energy. I feel a lot coming off her... and you do enjoy her.

Geesh, I'm curious to know whether I'm picking up on you or someone else. If it IS you, this will be a first.

Hey Val,

Rest assured, you did an excellent job, well done :) The first paragraph was particularly accurate, in fact I'd go as far as saying its the best singular description anyone has made of me. I have tried explaining to many people many times, that I see my path as solitary for the majority of my journey, though they have difficulty understanding my isolation, seeing it as a rather an unsociable state. But as your rightly pointed out, its something Im extremely comfortable with, feeling connected with everyone in my absence. I'd like to explain it, but I feel my words would inadequately express it as well as yours have. So thankyou.

Everything else you wrote was very good, and I'd like to reveal something here, now, that entered my mind before I asked you to do what you did with me. I had read your earlier post about dreams and the Yi, and you had been awoken by a dream, to quote;

"This morning's dream was someone telling me "He's suspicious... and this is how you allay his suspicions" and then showing me on paper... by blacking out sections. This definitely was not my subconcious speaking. I don't care (on any level) if anyone else is suspicious. Anyone else's suspciousness is not my problem... it's his. And I have no intentions of 'allaying' anything that I don't own.

Having read this post, in conjunction with your post in reply to mine in this thread, there seemed to be a clear connection. My immediate thoughts were one of suspician when you claimed the abilties you posess, but then my intuition offered something also. I got the distinct impression that you had once been extremely open in using your abilties, they gave you great joy, and a sense of peace about yourself. Though something happened, an event, which changed this within you. You forced yourself into confinement, tried to engage in societies normalities, and even doubted your abilities because of the doubts of others. When you mentioned the fact that you sometimes engaged in using your gift as a "parlour trick", this solidified the image for me, there is some part of you that is still reluctant to open up, you referred to your gift, a very real substance, as being a party trick for the humour of others.

I could be way off the mark here, but I believe my intuition was correct, and that is the reason you had your dream - to ally my suspicians, by writing black on white :) You gave me information, so I felt I should share my intuition with you also, the main message of which is one of opening up again.

Again, thankyou for the reading, it was the result of your dream and a synchronistic event

Oh and Micheline, sorry, I should have added this note at the bottom of the previous message. Answer to your question is yes. Cultivating different periods of the cycle just accelerate the process. But there is no need to worry, cycles are accelerating naturally at the moment anyway, due to the earths frequency raising, allowing energies to evolve much much quicker. Again, its just an option, but not a necessary one, and you seem to have a great pattern in progress thats working for you.

Ive been reluctant to post further information about my findings, because in the last few days since registering here, I have felt it is not my place to interfere, so I will offer suggestions and the occasional paragraph. One thing I will make absolutely clear now, is that the cycles of energy I use are completely unique and versatile to everyone, and all they try and do is harmonize the yin and yang natures by diminshing and augmenting in ones cycle on a conscious level. Its very simple to do, and very energetic.

And sorry again to make a 3rd post in succession, my clumsy nature showing itself...

I would just like to emphasise that dreams at higher energies are more defined and prominent to events in our waking lives, they will be more vivid and often involve important messages we have given ourselves, so try and remember them as soon as you wake.

Thanks

Hi again Matt...

Happy to hear I tuned into you okay. I've only ever touched a person or a piece of their jewelry and didn't really think it could be done otherwise, but I've been mystified recently by some psychics on the radio Sunday nights who can read people over the phone. So I thought I'd give it a go.

The dream in the Dreams and the Yi thread was my waking dream the morning I wrote my 'revealing' post to you. I posted to you after I got to work... AFTER the dream. 5:43pm your time was really 9:43am my time (PDT). And I saved the dream post for the end of the day because I was so agitated in the morning I couldn't write it without a number of expletives... and I wanted to get past the need for expletives. The end of the day here was the following morning for you. I think the 8-hour time difference between the UK and the West Coast of the US confused matters for you.

I would really love to believe my dream was me being precognitive about what would be your reaction to my post (that I didn't even know I was going to write until I read yours). But that's not the case. It's a long story... and it's splattered all over this forum. I'm pretty certain who sent the dream (and the two in June), and I'm pretty certain I won't be receiving any more... whether he sends more or not. I figured out I'd already stopped them after my post asking how to.

As far as the term 'parlor trick' is concerned, it could also be called a 'party trick'. It simply means a short reading... just enough to let the subject know I'm tuned in. I'm open all the time. I receive feelings toward me when they're strong. I don't particularly like that when they're negative... UGH, but love and excitement are OK, and I pick up on stuff that seems to protect me or warn me. And that's all just fine with me too. I don't like reading people intentionally for the reasons I said. I don't like to see people's dependency on it. And on the rare occasion I do read someone, I won't look into their future, and I won't advise. Notice that there's nothing about the future and no advice in the reading I did for you. If the force that feeds me the information wants the subject to know the future, they'll show it to me without my having to go searching for it. I've been shown bits and pieces of my own future on about four different occasions, but it was fed to me without my searching for it and for a very good reason. It was important I understand... *grin*

Love,

Val
