Odd question, I know; plus we are supposed to consider determined timeframes and ask useful questions.

Anyways I read it as: a series of risky behaviours in a hostile environment.

Any thoughts?

10.5 to 38 ~ You will have to walk a long way thru difficult ground to find the joy you seek. Be careful as you go.

Field's "Duke of Zhou Changes" says of line 5:

"He walks in ruined (worn out) shoes. Omen of danger."

You might have to walk a long way, so to speak, in order to break free of traditional cultural expectations and customs...

...which means that you'll be a stranger in a strange land, so be careful?

Or, 'learn to recognise bullies and walk away towards the opposite direction'.
Because there's a changing line, I'd say this is a choice, not destiny.

line 5 is ok if you are calm and positiv. 38 maybe the situation will be a little bit complicate or something like that, because 38.3 (the second hexagram) it is a difficult start but good after.. (I would like to speak a better english to explain but I am french...!)

10.5 speaks of danger but then again what is more dangerous in life than love? It has the power to shipwreck us utterly. But it is our destiny to embrace the possibility of danger into our lives if we also wish to admit the possibility of love. 38 is about opposites - is it possible it is referring to the yin and yang that are opposite but complete each other - perhaps you find someone very different to you, maybe in temperament for instance, but they help complete you, by providing the parts you lack. But going into such a love affair could be fraught with danger because there may be the potential for misunderstandings if you and the gentleman are quite different, but nevertheless you must accept this. Just a possible hypothesis.

Do you know your exact birth time by any chance? I'd be curious to cast a chart for this (Vedic Astrology), it might be a better method to ask this type of question, or at least confirm/unpack the Yi's answer.
