Hello to all the brilliant diviners in this community!

I have been reading and digesting some of the wisdom you've all shared on these threads for some time now. Thank you all for the knowledge you have shared.

I am looking for your help with a recent inquiry regarding a relationship.

Upon reading someone's general advice on an approach to these kind of questions, I decided to ask the following:

1. Please give me a general diagnosis of the relation between S and I:
62.2.5.6 > 44

2. How is my position with in the relation:
53.1.2 > 9

3. How is S's position with in the relation?
50

We shared a romantic life together for 5 years, lived together for 4. In February of this year we decided to move into separate places and take some time and space from each other. The time we shared towards the end became increasingly less enjoyable; we are quite opposites so often times we had trouble seeing eye to eye on things. The first 4 years were pretty easy though and I love him very much.

I miss him. It's been really difficult for me to let go. We have seen each other a couple of times since and the intimacy has been really wonderful. Just feeling confused about us and trying to get a clear idea of what exactly this is. Mostly wondering if it's time for me to let go entirely or continue to have hope for us.

I know this is a lot... I am grateful for any and all insight into these questions.

Hexagram 44 is all about sexual attraction and warns that one may be deceived. I don't think this means your friend is intentionally leading you on just for the physical intimacy but it could be that as a reading on the state of your relationship it could be saying don't be mislead by wishful thinking.

53 - 9 for your position in the relationship reads to me as if to say your friendship did well as far as it went but now you are on your own.

50 for how your friend sees all of this reads like he feels the relationship is in a good place. He has positive feelings for you and is comfortable with how things are.

Altogether it reads to me as if to say the relationship had gone as far as it could go as a couple but you're tempted to try to continue. Perhaps if you put a halt to the romantic moments you'll see what if anything the two of you really have together.

Hexagram 44 does seem all too fitting -- I can very much feel a magnetic physical attraction to him and I think this has a lot to do with why I am having a hard time letting it go.

53 'gradual development' also makes quite a bit of sense for my position.

The first line magnetic suggesting some inexperience -- it is my first serious, long term relationship (his also).

l also find it curious that this judgement reads the maiden is given in marriage (a little confusing because the judgement in the first question suggests not to marry the powerful maiden).

Deep down I feel you may be exactly right here.

I love him so much I am tempted to try and make us work at any cost. I can see how a life with him would be rewarding but very challenging sometimes given our polar opposite world views.

I do wonder about that hexagram 62 ... was I not paying close enough attention to some of the signs that this might not be a good fit?

I can also see how letting him go and taking a separate path might open up new doors for me.

I think I will heed your advice on perhaps taking a romantic break from this person.
