Did he tell the truth? 51 unchanging - confirm my interpretation

Hi all - hope everyone is well! So I did a reading today and I think I understand it, but I would like to know if my interpretation makes sense to more experienced readers as I am new to the I Ching.

So I asked Yi if X was telling the truth about a certain issue. The answer was 51 unchanging - double Shock

At first I was a bit puzzled but then I realised that if X was telling me the truth, I would be totally shocked as X is often less than honest, especially regarding personal issues.

As a result, this reading could be seen as an affirmative response, but it could also be Yi just reflecting how I feel about X's truthfulness, ie that I don't trust X.

Opinions?

The I Ching does not lend itself easily to yes/no questions but sometimes a hexagram will seem to be shouting "Yes!" or "No!" and so if that's what it said to you I would go with it.

In addition to what Rosada just said (above), I'd like to add that in my experience Yi is reluctant to point fingers of blame. You feel X often lies to you, or is less than honest with you, but don't expect Yi to explicitly say "Yes, he's a liar." Sometimes we just want Yi to agree with us, to confirm what we suspect, but actually the I Ching is not very concerned (apparently) with the flaws and faults we see in others. Yi is saying you feel shocked and that suspecting him of dishonesty repeatedly comes as a shock to your nervous system. It certainly does sound unsettling, never to know if what he's saying is true or not.

Hi Rosada and Ginnie - thanks very much for your responses. It makes absolute sense that I always do feel very unsettled around X as I always doubt whether they are being honest with me. Very helpful insight. Perhaps I haven't realised just how much I was being affected. Thanks again!
