Hello Rosalie, I'm so glad you asked!

A couple of days ago at the "Divination discussion" area, the "I Ching on the I Ching" thread started with attempte to answer the question, "How to consult the I Ching?" by examining the hexagrams in order as

Hexagram 1. Ask a question

Hexagram 2. Receive an answer

Hexagram 3. Be confused.

Hexagram 4. Ask another question (be even more confused)...

and so forth. The idea was for anyone who felt to, to submit what the next hexgram would say in terms of the original question and in responce to the previous post.
The ensuing story seemed to take on a life of it's own and at the conclusion the contributors all agreed that it was great fun - so much fun in fact that now the suggestion has been made that we repeat the exercise only this time go through the hexagrams line by line.
This is a glorious vision and no doubt all those who participate will feel at the end of our efforts that we have experienced every possible permutation of the tao, or at least that we have made progress in memorizing the I Ching - all from the relative safety of our own homes (I say relative safety because yesterday after reading this suggestion and just considering it my computer crashed for 6 hours)!
Anyway, we've just now begun the new adventure and experienced a bit of a feeling of being stalled at - appropriately -3. Difficulty at the Begining. We set up a separate thread called "Time Out" where people can go to discuss ideas, reflections, about the building story and over on this thread Bruce did a toss to get clarity for the stall and received 60.2 changing to 3 which suggested to me that not only should every voice be heard, but also that having the whole group throughly informed and able to chose if they wish to participate was necessary before there could be meaningful progress.
So I put up this announcement on this thread over here in case there are people who are unaware of what's going on at the "Divination discussion" site. To get to the "Divination discussion" site look to your left on your screen and in the blue column. It's the first option under "I Ching Community". Click on this, it will take you to the site and then click on the thread, "I Ching on the I Ching". Back track and start reading the thread from the begining. It's long but it's a very easy read and this will give you the full idea.
Also please check the 'Time out" thread. This thread is there so that while our story is unfolding we can discuss what we're experiencing and congradulate each other on particularly delightful insights.
