Fate vs. Chance

Everyone comes into this life with a big portion of fate. I am small and female, my fate is that I can never be a tall famous basketballplayer.
So not all roads are open, and some roads can not be avoided.

Darn! I thought you were a famous player!! Personally, I would call those you mention above "natural limitations," not fate. Everyone is "fated" to die one day but few will be famous "anything" when they reach that goal because they will have innate limitations to what they can do, physically and mentally. Indeed, fewer still, will learn from those limitations and stand out regardless of them, as in the case of many artists that do, for example.

Mind you, I understand and can formulate the above but I won't presume of having reached any kind of learned level in life. You can take a horse to the river but you can't make it drink...
