Hello all,

I have been struggling with my finances lately and I'm wondering if any relief is in sight. I asked the iching "Will my finances improve anytime soon?" I received hex 1 with lines 3 and 4 changing to 61.

I'm not sure how it directly answers my question, but the feeling I get from it is that my struggle is more an internal one, as it usually is. Money is on my mind more than I'd like it to be. Is it telling me to trust that things will be okay?

Any help would be appreciated.

My opinion on this would be that it is telling you that, you're right, it is internal, but not to stop thinking about it and then everything would be alright. Instead I feel it is telling you to stop wallowing and be proactive about doing something about it. Thats my opinion anyways...

Thank you for your response. Our work/income situation is fixed at the moment because I've decided to stay home with my children. I'm also 6 months pregnant. We have been relying on income from my husband's business, which has been good in the past. However, business has not been good lately and we have had unexpected expenses that have depleted much of our savings. Going back to work isn't really an option for me right now. If I did I'd only be working to pay for childcare, and I want to be home with my children until they are in school anyway. I realize that money comes and goes in life and that this is just a low point for us, but we both work very hard at what we do. You are right, I should not "wallow". I have been too worried and that is not helping matters. Hexagram 1 does seem to be saying I have a choice in this. How to be creative about improving finances? I'm not sure at this point.

Hi, Ferny:
I believe yur post is yet in shared readings. There are many ways to arrive at a place. H.1 is always good. The same for H.61. Both end with the words «Profitable Omen». More detail requires a little of time. Meanwhile, remain connected here and stop worrying.

In pregnancy context, H61 says that be girl or boy the baby will be lucky.

Might you give more information about yourself? What skills do you have? In what do you belive? What means do you imagine for getting incomes? What sort of things make you happy?

The readings never directly answer the question, especially if you ask a yes/no question, since there are no yes/no answers in the I Ching.

Line 3, a time of incessant activity, "hectic preparations for a possible transition", this all sounds like your pregnancy and your role as a mother. Line 4 is about a mysterious, not yet born, creative possibility that is not ready to take flight. Again, possibly about money, but also possibly about creativity applied to the unborn child.

If I interpret this reading as being about money, then now is the time for preparation for something new, perhaps something you can do to earn money after the child's birth. Perhaps you have an idea but no way to realize it yet, or the idea is not yet attainable. The reading suggests perhaps that time is necessary, and that you should place your trust in your own creativity.
