hi all,

i'm just about to start a new job, which i'm very excited about. for me now it is the dream job, and it is in an environment that i know well and with people that i respect and who i know respect and appreciate my work.

i asked the yi what i could expect from my new job, and got 38 changing to 14.

now, the process of being offered this job was politically complicated and my appointment was opposed by someone in a different section of the company, but after a couple of months of hanging in there (both me and the people who wanted me there) i was offered a wonderful position.
i wonder whether 38.3 could be referring to that recent process, or whether the yi is trying to tell me something that i don't want to see?

to be honest, and although anything can happen, the job at this stage does not seem like it could generate much conflict.

i'd be grateful for your thoughts on this.
love,

Dear sugarlobster,

I may offer you a view based on personal experience. Anytime that I get Hex 38 third moving line the answer is, in fact, referring to the future. It did happen to me several times, with the result exactly in the way described in the line:

Six in the third place means:

"One sees the wagon dragged back,
The oxen halted,
A man's hair and nose cut off.
Not a good beginning, but a good end."

That?s why I am not quite sure that the I Ching is telling you something that has already happened.
Therefore, I suppose that your answer depends on WHEN and HOW you asked the question. But, anyway, mind the good prospects of the line: ?Not a good beginning, but a good end."

Hope this helps,

All the best,
Mirian
