Future together? hexagrams 63 > 13

Dear I-Ching community,

I wrote some time ago to ask for your help interpreting the I-Ching about the future of a potential relationship with a much younger man that I had met. As Willowfox suggested, nothing happened.

Now I'm back again with a 'heart' issue, and would appreciate your help with the interpretation. I recently met a man from my past (after 18 years!) and I felt a very strong connection to him. I believe this feeling was reciprocal. He also gave the impression that he's not happy in his marriage.
I admit I felt stupid and uneasy asking the I-Ching the following question, but I still did, because my heart has a very loud voice at the moment... The question was: "Will XYZ leave his wife and get together with me?". The answer was: hexagram 63 'after completion' followed by hexagram 13 'concording people'.

I would appreciate if you could help me with the interpretation, even if it's bad news. It helped me last time keep my head cool

Hello Lady,

I'm wondering if the IC's response is in fact an image of the situation ... his situation. Cos the lines
are really not encouraging 'A token possessing clothes in tatters' 'Soaking one's head, abashment'.
Perhaps you could possibly ask another question, something along the lines of: What's XYZ's position in relation to me ? What are the prospects for a long-term relationship ? Would XYZ be interested in pairing-up with me ?

the forth line of 63... advice you to be totally wrong about your friend! the advice sounds more like you misunderstood completely the situation.
it's more he is seeking a good friend with winch he can talk about his problem, to get comfort and sincere advice.

but try to understand what's up between you. try to analyze the facts from an other perspective.
is it possible that he is looking for a romance with you?.... but not to end his marriage for you.

about your question... as first attempt - "Will XYZ leave his wife and get together with me?" - it's a bit complicated...to much steps were skipped.

try with something like: what is xyz looking for with me....?

Thank you themis and patro for your advice. I will ask the questions you suggested, although... we live in different countries, and we're both sensible people, so I do not think that we will be easily be swept away by a romance. I was somewhat emotionally overwhelmed by this reencounter and started building castles in the air like a teenager... I feel silly.

I guess email exchanges now and then will be all right, but for my emotional sanity better keep them sporadic.

Oh don't feel silly about it all, Lady. Tis a normal reaction ... shows your heart is alive. And age
doesn't have much to do with it ... when it comes to love ... you know. But yes, continue to keep
your feet on the ground and be sensible.
