I'm very disappointed that an old friend of mine will not be able to travel with me in January. If I want to go, I will need to go it alone. I've done it before but it's never as fun, is it?

What do I need to know about traveling there alone?

22.1.6 to 15

Line 1: ‘Making your feet beautiful.
Putting away the carriage and going on foot.’

To me this talks about being self-sufficient, going it alone. I don't need any assistance and I'm perfectly capable of getting to where I want to go all by myself! So there!

Line 6: ‘White beauty.
No mistake.’

Something that's just plain GOOD. No fancy ornamentation necessary.

IMO this reading is telling me that it's OK for me to go there alone in January.

yes, going as yourself and for yourself sounds good . . maybe not as much fun, but good nonetheless. I find that traveling some times is also a journey inwards and that doesn't happen much if you have company -a friend of mine always said she did her best writing work while alone on travel, for me it's always introspection time. I think something similar shows in your reading too.

take care,

You're right about getting time to reflect. I need that, so maybe it's actually better in a way to go alone. I was definitely encouraged by the Yi's response.
