Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share a reading with you, along with some thoughts... As time goes by, not only do I learn more and more about Yi, but Yi seems to learn about me through our communications. I feel as if Yi is communicating with me on an increasingly personal level, as if it's "getting better at getting through to me". It's probably just that I understand it better as I learn, but still, the thought has crossed my mind and was wondering if it makes any sense to anyone else.

Anyway!

There's a guy First date was on him, the second time I invited him to the movies. We got along famously, and after the second date we were corresponding through emails, sending each other links, discussing stuff... But he didn't reply to my last email a couple days ago and hasn't invited me to a third date. I was wondering why he stopped communicating and I asked the Yi. It replied with 24 (Return) with 5th line changing to hex 3, an answer I liked. All in due time?

As he is still silent, I asked Yi today if I could do anything to get our communication running more smoothly. I got 1 with the first and last line changing to 28.

Now, both lines tell me that any action on my part is a no-no. It's quite plain. But what hit me as cute was the perfect image of extremes here: a "submerged" dragon and an "overbearing" dragon. Changing to 28 - "Across the Great Pass" - a bridge between the two extremes!
It got me thinking. These two lines could be him and me - he the submerged dragon (as he "submerged" himself and blocked our communication, which I am not going to force), I the arrogant one (as I'm so sure that he likes me and that he's "supposed to" keep the communication going). Since I asked about communication between us, I believe Yi isn't concentrating only on me. On the other hand, both of these lines could be about me! From cold to hot in such a short time? She must be crazy or something. But a shot will be given in the future (28).
On a more... general note, perhaps it is saying that communication will flow smoothly only when balance is achieved...
I think there's something that escapes me, though. Any thoughts? Perhaps another viewpoint?

yeah ! a great image ; neither cold nor hot , like a lukewarm.

maybe he , or both of you are trying to find the new equilibrium. Hex 28 sometimes asks the question "where to go" so might be apply here .

Isn't it? Simple enough at first, but as you delve a bit... Several other ideas have crossed my mind...

It's hard for me to pin the meaning from this viewpoint. Is Yi highlighting the value of the central path by showing me an image of extremes, or are the extremes the real deal? Both lines in themselves advise against action, but... For example, it might also be saying - either way is okay, as 28 kind of says it's advantageous to go anywhere, as long as you're going somewhere. You can be "arrogant" or "submerged", the path is open both ways...
