I need help with a hexgram reading please. I asked: Are there esoteric forces at work preventing me from getting married?

Hexagram 25 line 4 and 5 into Hexagram 27

Any insights?

Does Hexagram 25 stand for Innocent actions or the unexpected? And I can never get Hexagram 27 it relates to food but what is the symbolism behind that?

Cheers!

What a candid question.. love it... "esoteric forces".

I think the first thing one needs to do is to renounce all forces or ties with what you have let define you. I read both lines as saying "you are not a wrong thing", and that your long term adaptation to your true nature benefits you.

There are infinite possibilities to explain what esoteric forces might be preventing you from getting married. The lines don't define them, they just say to go on being your natural self.

Personally, I think the fastest way to meet someone of your preferred gender for companionship, or to go find a job, or to meet your sales quota, is to throw out the Yijing and never use it again. I think the "esoteric force" at work is the Spirit's desire for the soul, of which the body is part. The problem is, a real student of Yi can accept only what is best. And good enough is the enemy of best. So, I think that many of us are stuck in the same sort of quandary as you, because we seek what is ideal.
