Help understanding Hex 44.5>50 in a complicated relationship

First of all, hi all.

I'm new to Clarity but I've been reading this forum for some time. I read a lot post and threads about this hex 44 with the 5th line moving but I don't really get it. So I decided to sing in and try with my first post. But first, I'd like to explain my situation to find some help understanding it.

My case is a very complicated situation. I felt in love with one of my best friends (she has boyfriend). We talked about my feelings and for some time we were cool, having great moments but my feelings about her was growing. During some time, she looked like falling in love with me too, but we talked, and we both agreed to not go further and see what the future could bring, being patient and not force the situation, because like I said before, she has a boyfriend actually. I started to feel insecure and other things. Due my own insecurities I forced a bit our relationship, I felt more jealous, and I made some mistakes, we had fights more often and our friendship started to get messy. Now we're in a dead end. She looks like different, like she never loved me or something like that. We didn't "break up" our friendship but we're a bit distant.

So I asked Yi if our friendship between my friend and I is becoming to and end, and the resulting answer was hexagram 44.5. and I'm totally confused. Before that question I asked Yi what's the best way to go through this hard moment between us to not harm both of us, not her nor me and I got 44.6. So after thinking on this result, my conclusion was our relationship were in a dead end point, that's why asked if it was finishing our friendship, and got 44.5. So... Any help to understand this would be great, and thanks!

Let me first say that i'm going through a similar experience and i know how impatient and saddening and frustrating these kind of experiences can be, so first of all, high fives.

44.5 is a very hopeful line to draw.

The Yi is basically backing up your entire wording of your post here. The need to press on and define the relationship, the impatience and hungering for her is very strong. The Yi here i think is asking you to relax for a bit, try to integrate the worlds time with your own.

There is something very beautiful in its potential regarding your relationship with her, but it needs to be protected for the time being.

But you need to be patient and keep the hope alive but dont rush things, and dont beat yourself up about the past with her. acceptance and growth into this new way is whats needed now.
