Today I tossed my coins and asked Yi,

what should I do to get X?

Hex 1.5>14

"The dragon flies high in the sky. It is beneficial to see a great person"
- Is Yi suggesting to seek advice from a wise person?


Will I be working together with Y?
Hex 5.4.6>1

I think Line 4 reflects on my current situation; I am eager to progress and Yi is telling me to be patient and get hold of myself. Line 6 does suggest some form of work? Something that is unexpected?

It furthers one to see the great man: someone who knows X well.

Both lines 4 and 6 are fortunate if one perseveres, so maybe more than just be patient. Make plans and look at the big picture. The pit in line 6 could be an unforeseen opportunity like Joseph being put into a pit by his brothers.

In regards to your interpretation:

Yes, emails. I may have to send more than one emails? Because the first one didn't work and it projected a direct obstacle in getting X. I may have to send emails to other people or perhaps an indirect way in pertaining X. On the other hand, if things work well, I may be taking a plane to get X.

Hex 5.4.6>1
At present, I am encountering an obstacle in getting X and the hexagram does suggest persevere. I come to realize while waiting, there is a need to gain as much knowledge as possible about X.
