Hello, I'm a newbie in I Ching Reading and this is my first post here.

The story started on some months ago. I met a girl who I have a very strong feeling. I was doubt and dare not to take any action. But everything seems good to me, because of my work I can frequently meet her, although we seldom talk but she seems glad and a bit shy when see me.

Some days ago I sent her messages using my mobile phone telling her my feeling. I received no reply and it seems she is avoiding me. So I tried to leave her alone, not to disturb her.

I don't know what should I do next. Before I sent her the messages, I can often saw she her smiles and heard her laughters. But now she looks scared/sad/angry? I'm not sure. Is it because of me? I just want she to be happy, so I avoid any chances to meet her and learn to forget her.

I simply can't. I miss her so much. So I ask I Ching:
"What may happen if I sincerely pursue her?"

I receive:
32.3 Hêng/Duration > 40 Hsieh/Deliverance
"He who does not give duration to his character
Meets with disgrace.
Persistent humiliation."

Hexagram 32 seems to be good for relationship/marriage, but 32.3 doesn't sound good. English is not my native language. Please help me, I need your opinions and advices.

Hex 32.3>40

Yi is telling you not to be carried away by your emotions. Is she single?

Well, since she is single,
it appears that you have acted a "little too early".

Due to work-related issues, she thinks that it is inappropriate that you have acted/ expressed your feelings.

you might want to toss another question to Yi to get a better picture.

Perhaps you're right, I acted a little too early. She never reply my messages, maybe she needs more time consider and know more about me. And because she never reply, it may mean I still have some hopes.

She and me aren't working on same the office. I'm a freelance computer technician, she is a closed friend of my regular client that I frequent visit recently. I sent the messages not on the working hours, but at midnight.

Could you please interpret what do these mean:

------------------------------------------------------------
Hexagram 32.3
"He who does not give duration to his character
Meets with disgrace.
Persistent humiliation."
--- Detailed description:
If a man remains at the mercy of moods of hope or fear aroused by the outer world, he loses his inner consistency of character. Such inconsistency invariably leads to distressing experiences. These humiliations often come from an unforeseen quarter. Such experiences are not merely effects
produced by the external world, but logical consequences evoked by his own nature.
------------------------------------------------------------

And here is another explanation for hex 32.3 from other source of I Ching explantion:

------------------------------------------------------------
"Lacking continuity in one’s character
Somehow continuing in such unworthiness
What persists is embarrassment"
--- Detailed description:
Nowhere to be endured
We study our lives and make up plans for our past, to sort what we are from what we are not. We seem inclined to draw lines of connection between all of our most shining moments, like a great string of luminous pearls. But we tend to leave out those actual things which may not shine so brightly, as well as our dark spots, our shadows and secrets and shames. Duration does not have these long interruptions: it tracks the paths which we travel in fact. It is so very easy to make improvements
on who we think we are and then come to believe that we shine all the time. But this does not fool our fellows or peers. A viable theory of who and what you might be wants to account for all of the facts, including the great gaps of dullness and dark. Consistency is the ethical substance. The unreliable substance will not be endured.
