I'm somewhat new to this, but what I see in 35 is saying be who you are. I wonder if when you were with this girl, did you try to be what she wanted instead of showing her the real you? In 21 I see figure out the problem and fix it, but that, without being too agressive you need to tackle the problem head on. Maybe you need to talk to her about the problems you had, but be true to yourself when you do, don't try to give the answers you think she wants to hear, just be yourself, be honest and straightforward.

35.1 talks about being driven back as soon as you start making progress in this situation. But it's not a bad thing, cuz if you stick to what you think is right, you're fortunate. You don't capture abundance, but you're free of fault.

Sum it all up: the line's a good one, despite appearances - don't measure a good approach by poor results here.
