Some of you remember my desire for deeper connection with someone at work I could barely speak to whose last day of work was last Friday. I designed a special card and had a number of people sign it. My final gesture was to put my business card in the envelope with a message on the back of the card that said "This card entitles D.... .... a motorcycle ride to any location in (name of city). Offer valid between April and October (motorcyle weather).Pending Weather!

I really sweated as to whether to send it so asked Yi:

Is it Advisable to add my business card to D's card? and received Hex 50.3.6>40.
I have read this to be auspicious, in spite of the ominous 3rd line which states the cauldron with the places of its ears changed. The progress of its subject is thus stopped. The fat flesh of the pheasant which is in the cauldron will not be eaten, but the genial rain will come, and the grounds for repentance will disappear. There will be good fortune in the end.. The 6th line overrides this to some extent as it speaks of rings of jade. The resulting Hex 40 is Deliverance. I have concluded that I did the right thing by putting my card in the envelope, even though I haven't heard from him. One of his employees and friend said he would call me and things would work out right, which, of course, was my intention of putting the card in the envelope.
I would love to hear from you your interpretation of the reading.

Hi Hexagon,

50.3 You were overlooked, but you still have good to offer. You won't stay overlooked forever.

50.6 There's a pleasant offer. It will turn out fine.

40 The stress is starting to get relieved. If you don't have to go anywhere, it's fine to circle around. If you've got a place to go, might as well zoom.

Sounds perfect for a motorcycle ride, doesn't it?

I would go on with everyday life, keep the bike tuned up, and have a guest helmet ready!

Line 50.3 suggests yes it is a good idea to add your card otherwise you will remain unnoticed.

Line 50.6 Jade is highly prized by the Chinese and is a very fortunate stone to have or wear, so again this says add your card, fate will look well upon you.

Thank you ben and Willowfox. I was actually taken aback when I read the description of Hex 50.6 - it was like finding treasure! Perhaps it is a reflection of the love I felt for David. The card is also a reflection of my business with my website link, which I revealed to him for the first time. Line 3 which states that "movement is hindered" and"the pheasant juice is not eaten" and "rain comes on all sides and lessens the cause of sorrow,"all of which reflects where things are right now in that I haven't heard from him and I am suffering. And I am still trying to understand how Hex 40 fits the picture.Deliverance? Should I be patient and wait for him to call?

I guess to get a more specific answer about David, I need to ask a more specific question!

deliverance could refer to release from the whole issue as in you move on from it and forget him.

Yes, trojan... letting go has sincerely crossed my mind. Deliverance=Release=Letting go of tension. Hey - I am looking forward to moving on as I read other posts in Exploring Divination where REALLY interesting IC discussions are being held and know I would like to join in.Once this matter is resolved, one way or another.

I finally asked Yi - Should I call David? and received: Hex 11.5>5.

Line 5 states: The fifth line, divided, reminds us of king Ti-yi's rule about the marriage of his younger sister. By such a course there is happiness and there will be great good fortune.
Followed by Hex 5 Waiting. More waiting!

Yikes! I did not want to call as it did not feel right. But Yi suggests I call. It may not bring me the result I want with D, but at least the action will bring the answer I need/want. Am I reading this right?

Its hard for me to say because I've followed your story with David for a while and formed my own opinion to the extent where I'm deaf to what the Yi says about it  Just it seems to me you've just about done everything you can do to win David - You've worked with him and shown interest, you've been to his leaving do, you put your card in his leaving card offering a motorbike trip - hes had plenty of opportunity to respond to you or approach you, so like you I would be very hesitant about calling him. To me the matter does seem settled - you have done all the running and he hasn't responded -

Hmm so i don't know about the 11.5 - the Yi can play funny tricks when you're in love ya know :mischief: Perhaps a call will settle the matter for you, or better still bring you together

I think 11.5 denotes humility and you certainly have that plus emotional honesty

I wish you well with this anyway, let us know what happens, I'm just too biased to see the readings clearly now :)

This suggests that you go ahead but be aware of your position in the matter and act accordingly.

Then Hex 5 says to wait a bit longer before you call, then go for it.

trojan:
My story with David is about to draw to a conclusion one way or another, and yes, I will let it be known how it turns out. As for your comment that it -
Just it seems to me you've just about done everything you can do to win David - in hindsight, yes, I let it be known to him indirectly that I was attracted to him, but I actually made a number of dumb communication errors that would've had most men throw in the towel. I've really gotten in my own way to happiness with him - due to my own insecurities. Part of me runs away from the opportunities that presented themselves.

THAT is my big lesson in all of this, one which Frank (fkegan) mentioned in a previous posting. I realize that I need to make a shift/change in my thinking if I am to attract the kind of love I want in my life. Using IC this way is profound - to look at what we need to see in order to effect positive change.

What amazes me is the auspicious readings I get with David.

Willowfox: I will heed your excellent advice and hold off calling him. It is time to write down my blockages so I can move forward with conviction and clarity. Then maybe I'll know when to call.

Laurie
