Hex 53.1.3>46 - Pregnant or not?

OK. I have permission from the querent to post and seek advice.

Querent Q has been in an on-off situation with let's say X. While they were on, they had a passionate coming together. A few days later Q felt ill. Sore breasts, frequent weeing, exhaustion, tiredness and suspected she maybe pregnant so took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Repeated after a couple of weeks negative again. Q even got what appeared to be a light period . And put this behind her ....except her symptoms continue. She doesn't think its PMS and describes it as more severe.

Q's case is not heeded by doc as she got monthly period and tested negative on home pregnancy tests

Q used good ol' google (not a good idea for medical symptoms!) and found out a pregnancy test maybe negative if women have a certain hcg? hormone levels low in their urine and so a test will not detect it. Both blood and urine tests look for this hcg hormone and apparently there were stories of women with these low levels who tested negative infact ended up pregnant. Also, some women do have what appears to be monthly bleed even while pregnant.

So Q now very distressed with her continuing pregnancy symptoms at 6 weeks got me to do a tarot and iching reading with a disclaimer from me that it would just be for insight and not necessarily a medical diagnosis!

I picked a single tarot card and got High Priestess. High Priestess indicates gestation. Something quietly growing. A secret that will be revealed in the fullness of time.

I used an online iching to ask if there is a baby growing inside Q and got hexagram 53.1.3>42 and I must say line 3 is intriguing! I am hesitant to draw any conclusions. Any insights from members on here?

Hi yibee,
Both lines (53.1 and 53.3) mention a little one. So I'd say yes she is.
But because of 53.3 it doesn't look that good in regards to going ahead with the pregnancy.

She should insist on an appointment with her gynecologist ASAP. This sounds like it could be a ectopic pregnancy (the bleeding can be a symptom), which is dangerous. If she has any pain, she should go to the ER right away. Though there are other much more benign reasons for bleeding in pregnancy, too.

I agree with Diamanda that 53.3 implies a.) pregnancy is the topic here and b.) there's something not right going on, but I've also seen that line indicate pregnancy complications that ended up resolving. (The mystery of Yi's sense of temporality...or maybe the mystery of how fate changes course, readjusts itself) 51.1 is a less starkly disquieting line about pregnancy, but it does imply there's something delicate about the matter, and also some peril and confusion (there's talk/gossip/criticism, and the "young son" is in danger).

If her doctor won't do her the service of an ultrasound to check this out, she should find a new doctor. If this is an NHS issue of not being able to get an ultrasound without her doctor's ok, unless her finances are really pinched I'd say try to go for a private scan or go to the hospital.

Thanks Mulberry and Diamanda. Last I heard Q had scheduled a blood test. She says her symptoms come and go and alternate. Some days really bad, some days ok. If I know more I'll post an update
