I asked yi to give me insights into what he thinks of me?

I usually have a guess at the reading but I am quite lost on this occasion. Could really do with some help.

‘How does he feel about me?’
with its friends, ‘Why is he doing this? What did he mean by that? And why isn’t he calling me?’

This is a radically unhelpful question in a whole lot of ways.

Does he want you to know the answer to this? And if he doesn’t, is it at all reasonable to expect Yi to help you to spy on his inner life?

If you can in fact spy on his inner life, and he’s confused and his feelings keep changing, all this is going to show in the reading. It is not going to be easy to understand. Also, it is not necessarily going to be true tomorrow.

It is hugely, terrifyingly hard to interpret these readings objectively. It’s excruciatingly easy to respond instead by building a fantasy relationship-castle out of a string of readings, with each question based on a misinterpretation of the reading before. What you end up with has nothing to do with the reality – and yet it is strangely addictive. It’s always easier to ask another question – fitting the curtains and carpets in your imaginary castle – rather than actually going and talking to the man himself.

And on that subject – substituting readings for communication does not make for a good relationship. If you’re in a relationship with someone and can’t ask what they mean or how they feel, then a better question to ask might be ‘What can I do to help us to communicate better?’

Come to that… substituting obsessive speculation about what he feels for becoming conscious of your own present desires and choices? “If I knew what he felt, I’d know what I can safely let myself feel”? Also doesn’t tend to work. If only.

And finally, it’s surprisingly hard to ask a clear, unambiguous question about this. For instance, is ‘how does he feel about me?’ meant to give you a picture of his emotional state? Or of how you appear when seen through his eyes? This is not something you want to be trying to work out after casting the reading, believe me.

I disagree that this is a no-go question, so here's my take.

In 54.4 the female "has missed the opportunity (i.e. the wedding) to become a concubine", and thus the female is waiting for a better timing. She will be able to wait, even for a long time, for the right circumstances. So he understands you're looking for a good relationship and that you wouldn't place yourself in an inferior position. This would be good if he also is a person who seeks commitment.

Funnily, I got this reading yesterday myself. It was about 2.00pm GB time and I was wondering what it was saying in reference to - what does x think about a situation. I felt at the time that it was saying that whilst the situation was not necessarily inauspicious, the timing of it was not quite right - better to wait until the right moment comes along.
With reference to your question, I would take it as saying that something about the relationship is mis-timed in someway. hex 19 can play out in different ways depending on the question, but in my limited experience often refers to a state of indecision - a questioning of what it is you really want. Once, a very experienced I-chinger said that hex 19 was like wanting an ice-cream on a hot day as you were getting petrol at the services and then hitting the motorway. Nothing wrong with ice-cream, but probably not a good idea at that point....

19 in this answer, I'd take it to mean that after the long wait of 54.4, there's finally action of an approach. So he considers that after a long wait you'll finally find someone suitable. I'm afraid I'll agree with Moss Elk, since the person hasn't already made any move towards you, I would think they are not after a committed relationship.

Just wanted to update. All feedback relevant. The guy in question did not want a commitment and also the timing of this was not great either. So it fizzled out quite quickly.
