Hello everyone. i asked this morning of the I ching

"Am I capable of reaching a state of empowered leadership?"

and I cast
Hex 58 changing lines 4, 5, 6 -> Hex 41

any thoughts on what the advice is?

I am working through some very "wrong"- destructive and not abundant- energy and mental patterns within myself- the opposite of empowered- ,and the I Ching, the Tao, and various spiritual readings, teachings, as well as Kundalini Yoga, have been vital.

thank you.

Greetings.

I hope the following coaching questions
based on some key messages of
58.4.5.6 > 41
may help you,
in your reflection.

Instead of seeking 'empowerment'
you have joy and peace within
how will that make you feel?

If there is internal conflict
you feel within
what is that tension
between your Inner Self
and the world around you?

Does your sense of control increases
if your leadership ability decreases?

thank you for your depth of answer..

regarding this,
Does your sense of control increases
if your leadership ability decreases?

do you mean, a good sense of control- of the inner Self,
or the bad control, of the ego?

my impulse is that the i ching was opening me to another ego trap that i thought i was not within.

Imagine two lakes
one at the top of the mountain
one at the foothill

You shine your Ego
the lake gives a reflection of the Ego
what is the difference
in the reflections of the two lakes?

What does the lake at the top of the mountain
mean to you?

What does the lake at the foothill of the mountain
mean to you?

What does the mountain mean to you?

I have never seen a lake at the top of a mountain.

I have to admit, metaphoric response upon metaphoric response is 2 steps away from the physical question...

and thats a bit a lot to process and connect back to the physical, for me at least.

i think it would help me to know what the lakes and mountain are metaphors off of.. because that is not clear to me in the least

i can take the idea and play with it...

I understood your question relating to the idea of hierarchy and status. The mountain as a vertical, with both lakes as different rungs on the ladder.

my question becomes, where am i standing on the mountain,
shining my ego?

i'm confused. haha :+)

...well hex 58 is lake upon lake so it is connected to the answer.

I think the answer shows some ideal of what to become as in your question is just a seductive misdirection not to be trusted.(58.5.6)

Simplify it all (hex 41),,,including the idea of 'empowered leadership' ?

Thank you for responding to my metaphors ...

I wish to share with you the following extract
from Stephen Karcher's article

Jung, the Tao and the Classic of Change

Here is an example of Jung's synchronicity.
Say you are standing on the seashore and
the waves wash in an old hat, a box, a shoe,
a dead fish and a condom.

When asked to comment on this ominous occurrence, you,
like a good westerner,
will comment: Nonsense!

The Chinese gentleman beside you,
however, says: What does it mean that these things occur together?
“You see,” Jung remarks, “he is using a method of forecasting possibilities and recognizing meaning that I call tao or synchronicity”

-------------------------------------------------

Later, I try to create some links for you
and see whether it makes sense to you.

I am trying to put all the gathered variables, see whether you can make some linkages yourself
as only you can do the jigsaw puzzle.….

Making connection, Or Does it connect?

"Am I capable of reaching a state of empowered leadership?"

And you have

<[58]兑卦>
<The Joyous>
<Being Satisfied>
< The Lake>

Is there Connection or Tension?

Also refer

“I am working through some very "wrong"- destructive and not abundant- energy and mental patterns within myself- the opposite of empowered-“

Process 4X, 5X,6X …

Does it connect with your

“do you mean, a good sense of control- of the inner Self,
or the bad control, of the ego?”

I.e. you mentioned EGO

My metaphoric questions try to get you to elaborate on your EGO
Using two lakes.
You responded with

“idea of hierarchy and status, .. lakes as different rungs on the ladder.”

Sound very structural to me.

And Structural can ..

<[41] 损卦 Decrease>
<Diminishing>

Whatever that can decrease or diminish ..
Will that make you feel
“a state of empowered leadership”?
Is that
<The Joyous>
<Being Satisfied>
< The Lake>?
