I am rather new to this town, spent the last two years totally focussed on the relationship I bored you with for months, as it finally sputtered and died. 100 days of solitude (not seeing him) did the trick . So here I am alone. And OK.

I am very happy to have received an invitation to a winter solstice celebration at someone's mountaintop home. A few people I know will be there, but it's a large group and I won't know most of them.

The group members are "spiritual seekers" from various schools of thought and I hope I'll find some kindred souls in this conventional wasteland. We are asked to share an object, an idea, or something else with the group.

What will my relationship to this group be? 1.2.3.4.6 > 3

Hexagram 1, Creative, with auspicious lines looks wonderful.

Line 2, according to LiSe, is " Whatever one shows or does or even thinks should be genuinely and truly himself." OK, so offering something I wrote seems right. "Renewal is the gift of dawn…"

Line 3: Lise again, "Go ahead if Dao goes ahead, turn back if Dao turns back." I don't have to do my reading or anything else unless it feels right at the time.

line 4, "Somehow dancing in the abyss. Without fault." Dancing on the Abyss, literally, might be fun. I might be moved to offer a dance or some sort of physical expression of rebirth for the new season coming in. If this isn't exactly what's called for at the time, it could be really corny…(and in my secret heart, I'd love to find someone to dance with.)

Line 6 uh-oh, I can come across as "arrogant," when I don't feel that way at all. Maybe I should hold back and observe :bag:--but that doesn't seem like much fun. I really need to stop isolating and meet some new people with common interests.

Difficulty at the beginning, or as Lise calls it, Beginning, the resulting hexagram 3, is pertinent when there are this many changing lines, as I understand it. I'm feeling very optimistic about this event and these hexagrams.

I'm very grateful for your thoughts and insights.

nice reading ! I read it as there is a potential there and Yi advise to keep it cool. You go and you'll see how things are. 1.6 could be don't have many expectations , keep it low .. not that i see something bad but ,as you said, seems a nice reading and overall, i would sum it up as , enjoy the ride .

Thanks, anemos. :bows: Expectations are high, at least my hopes are. I'll try to rein them in, keep it low and enjoy the ride. As for "cool," shouldn't be a problem on a snowy mountaintop. Brrrrrrr.

I have a great solstice photo I wanted to share with you but html doesn't seem to work here.

Here's a link I hope will work: http://www.stuartwilde.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/timthumb.png
